Every household got a copy of the warrant with a detailed explanation of each article to be voted on. If they didn’t show up to do their civic duty shame on them. The problem is getting the word out there about the meeting. I bet 800 of the LTC holders never knew about it.
You can be sure every anti group made sure to spread the news to their people
Can any LTC Littleton resident confirm they got this warrant in the mail?Every household got a copy of the warrant with a detailed explanation of each article to be voted on. If they didn’t show up to do their civic duty shame on them.
Christ, that wouldn't be that obvious! Would they? Can any LTC Littleton resident confirm they got this warrant in the mail?
Would it surprise you at this point? Discovery could easily determine if "everyone" was mailed a warrant.Christ, that wouldn't be that obvious! Would they?
This makes me think of Naughton changing address and times just as a 2A listening tour was in his area. The ironic part was the Anti's knew well in advance and the rest had to find an obscure post on some site only minutes before.
Nope.Would it surprise you at this point? Discovery could easily determine if "everyone" was mailed a warrant.
Hoping is not going to do it. You need to be proactive and start contacting gun owners in Hopkinton. Get in touch with folks that have a mailing list of gun owners — HSA and GOAL. Get them to commit to reaching out and volunteer to help.
And the math changes if those units aren't occupied by single people. Most, 50% or more, will probably have 2+ people living in each condo.Pizza man is building 800+ new condos in a town of 10k people
Almost a 10% increase.
That is insane
L O L
Did not even think of that. And the math changes if those units aren't occupied by single people. Most, 50% or more, will probably have 2+ people living in each condo.
Flip it around. Imagine if they said no minority businesses in town, except to match their zoning bylaws.Yes then? Follow suit. Become that angry minority and get busy tearing something down. Like your oppressive government.
The founders were not the majority. Remember that.
Cool down. The Lupoli Companies are raising rents for all tenants closer to market values to provide income while they do the design and get the permitting for mixed use, not to keep them very low like I did. Nothing I see indicates that they want to drive out the gun guys. Jack.Correct. They made very clear that the new by-law was future facing so all existing FFLs would
not get shut down over it but that doesn't mean anything if the new mill owner is legally doing their bidding
by jacking rents to unsupportable levels (which to the surprise of absolutely no one, is exactly what is happening)
Yeah I get email newsletters from GOAL every Friday and was surprised there’s been no mention of thisGood idea - did anyone do this with GOAL for Littleton? I usually see GOAL notices and didn't see this one.
Gun owners are very poorly organized in general but 15 votes is tragic.
.
Is that a fact?Every household got a copy of the warrant with a detailed explanation of each article to be voted on. If they didn’t show up to do their civic duty shame on them.
My town sends out a town meeting booklet to every home. It contains every warrant article, including a pro and con statement. Is that a fact?
In my town and several others, they stopped sending out that info and instead rely on citizens to hunt down what's going on in towns thru their complicated websites.
This all started when controversial subjects started coming up more and more, and its a way for those in favor to pack the meetings with like minded people.
I stopped going to our town meetings because of that BS and the fact that if it failed, they would continually bring it back up till they had enough citizens in favor at a meeting.
Ah but you're a minority remember. That would be discriminatory.Flip it around. Imagine if they said no minority businesses in town, except to match their zoning bylaws.
No, I don’t think the antis are that smart and anyway it is unreasonable to think some voters would not get the Warrant mailing.Would it surprise you at this point? Discovery could easily determine if "everyone" was mailed a warrant.
The town has to put an address on it. The address list is/was created electronically and used to print that batch of letters. Those letters were brought to the post office and mailed at a certain bulk rate with a count of pieces. No, I don’t think the antis are that smart and anyway it is unreasonable to think some voters would not get the Warrant mailing.
The mailing is not addressed to a person or an address. It is addressed to Postal Patron or some such.
IIRC that was Stoughton trying to prevent Alex's (a strip club) from locating there. I think that was in the 1970s when the lawsuit was filed against the town. There was some legal stuff that happened many decades ago about cities/towns not allowing shops that sold porn and such.
Courts told towns that was not kosher. But, a town could create a zone within which these stores would be allowed to operate. If a town failed to do so, then a porn shop could open anywhere in a town.
That's why many towns have specified an "adult district" IIRC.
Yep!My town sends out a town meeting booklet to every home. It contains every warrant article, including a pro and con statement.
How long you been working for the town? No, I don’t think the antis are that smart and anyway it is unreasonable to think some voters would not get the Warrant mailing.

A good percentage donations are <$20 but it adds up. If every gun owner set a monthly donation of $5-$10-$20 whatever, charged to their credit card every month, you forget its even there and it would make a huge difference to these orgs. I know its a cliche but its like a cup of coffee every month. It takes two minutes to set it up and then it happens automatically but people cant be bothered I guess. Most gun owners s*ck.
They all complain about "Muh right" but don't do sh*t.
Bet 90% of those were sitting at home fapping to some news about Tom Brady.
Think of everything that has been accomplished in the past 30 years by organizations around the country, then remember they are lucky if 10% of gun owners donate at least $5. How many donate at least $5 to COMM2A? ... I will bet less than 5% of MA gun owners.
I bet if just 50% of MA gun owners donated $10 per year, it would probably be more than whatever COMM2A is getting today.A good percentage donations are <$20 but it adds up. There's aprox 500,000 LTC's in MA. If each donated $5 a month, (~$1.25/week or about $0.18/day), its adds up to $2,500,000 a MONTH. Even if everyone only gave a dollar a month, that a million every 2 months.
