Nice shot..Was the shooter shooting at Tannerite ?
Yes he was...Not sure if Ross hit it or was part of a group who did, but it looks pretty neat. I have another with no muzzle flash, but a better plume downrange, but I thought this one was neat...It's amazing that a phone takes multiple exposures.
I did not take part in the Tannerite buy, so I did not knowingly shoot at any Tannerite until the Grand Finale shoot, when I shot (along with everyone else) at the pumpkin on the right and at one on the left that I was told was fair game. If the timestamp on the picture shows it was nearly 4:00, then I was shooting at the Tannerite. I do remember the boom only being accompanied by one report... so it had to be me.Nice shot..Was the shooter shooting at Tannerite ?

I like the effect of the faint orange glow in front of the muzzle.
I'll post the series before this one when I get near high- speed again. It will be more apparent that Ross bagged a pumpkin sporting tannerite... It got my attention. I just posted this one cause it was cool...
At least in that picture I don't think that it was the shot making that muzzle flash that set the tannerite off.
You make a good argument; there was so much Tannerite going off that it's entirely possible that the smoke is from someone else's shot. As I said, the timestamp might give a clue... but I can't seem to look at the photo's information on photobucket. If the timestamp on the picture shows it was nearly 4:00, then I was shooting at the Tannerite.
At least in that picture I don't think that it was the shot making that muzzle flash that set the tannerite off. You can see the smoke from the tannerite was already 20-30 ft in the air and the muzzle blast was still happening. @ 2500 fps, the round is down range within .2 of a second, give or take during the muzzle blast. The smoke doesn't move at 2500 fps and so could not have risen to that level within the time of the muzzle blast.
None of this precludes 2 independent shots so I am not saying you didn't, just the pic is of one of those shots, not the one that set off the tannerite.

I know MassMark is holding.
OK, I gotta call BS on this - all those guns and all those people - children, even! And NO ONE got shot!! Why, it's almost as though all the attendees were responsible adults, or under responsible adult supervision! And no one even raised a voice!!
Somewhere, I just KNOW that Paul Helmke and John Rosenthal are screaming in frustration. And it makes me smile...
