You know we're talking about liberals here, right? Nothing will make them happy except house to house search and seizure.
Nice touch leaving the choice of armed security to the locality.
This is really the best performance ive ever seen the NRA give. What a great idea.
Instead of squabbling over legislation, they are presenting a real solution to a present problem in a concise, professional manner.
That said, someone needs to listen :\
This was good, lets see how much "press" it gets in the news...........
I did like that he brought up that he told them 5 years ago to protect schools after VA Tech and no one listened. Score one for Wayne.
Fox News = No mention of NRA conf

huh??2 I watched it online with Fox News on and they had Obummer talking
EDIT: I was on FOX NEWS HD, did they show something else on non HD?
I watched FNHD.. on mute.. had the computer going since it was ahead of them. They carried it live... but started a little late and cut it a bit early.
jefftk said:Hey, on the bright side maybe we can stop hearing about how the NRA doesn't really want 2A freedom because then they would lose power. If they get a government subsidized monopoly on school security training then there should be no worries about how they will keep the cash flowing!
.........
To be fair, I think they did say any such training programs would be offered for free - I'm sure they will still have some way to make money from it though.
........
I missed a bit of the beginning and wasn't paying 100% attention at all times, but I didn't hear too much talk about mental health issues and background checks.
I think the speech could have been more aggressive in trying to slap down new gun control laws, but it certainly wasn't bad in that respect. There were no "concessions".
For those that don't like the NRA, well there is still opportunity for the speech to validate your views - as a monolith that wants to maintain its grip on the industry they are trying to push ahead and strengthen their monopoly on training.
WTF! I feel like I'm tripping right now; I had FNHD on waiting in case they cover it so I can switch to it instead of my laptop. They had obummer doing a Eulogy thing

I agree, throwing the game, and movie industries under the bus is not a sound way to go. People need to take responsibility for their own actions, not say "I did it because I played COD!". WTF, we all grew up watching Roadrunner and other cartoon violence, but how many of us tried to enact that shit in real life?
I painted a cave entrance on a brick wall and told my friend to run inside. Does that count?
