NRA News Conference at 11:00 AM Fri. (TODAY) Will broadcast on NRA website.

Well, overall I am pleasantly surprised. This "School Shield" program makes lots of sense.

Well, crap, first I had to run out and buy lowers. Now I just finished the pre-order of GTA-V.

Is it just me, or did it seem like they let the guy hold up the banner for what seemed like waay too long? And a camera crew conveniently in the hallway to capture every word he said as he was ushered out? Media bullshit.

$10 says the media "image bite" will be banner boy with Wayne's head in the background above it.

Well said by Wayne and the other guy. Awesome tone, great handling of libtard moonbat antis.

Now the media will go full bore hanging from left wing crazy, demonizing everything that was said.

No tinfoil here, just full eyes wide open knowing of how this will play out.

and so it starts:

[h=1]Defiant NRA leader rejects gun controls, asks to put police in schools[/h]By Michael O'Brien, NBC News
National Rifle Association CEO Wayne LaPierre defiantly blamed violent video games and movies, the media, gun-free zones in schools and other factors during the organization's first public statement following the elementary school shooting in Newtown, Conn. last week.

NRA is killing our kids? Yeah just like Ford and Chevy are every time there's a drunk driving crash. Geez

I thought it was good. Mainstream media will shit all over it by only showing 7 second clips of whatever part they can spin. This won't help, but at least the NRA didn't screw anything up worse that it already is.

very well done. i will renew my membership on the condition that they oppose legislation in their next conference.

...and hopefully no one takes me up on the buttsex thing.

But it gives me a lot of hope that they will work hard to kill any bad bills.

I did like that he brought up that he told them 5 years ago to protect schools after VA Tech and no one listened. Score one for Wayne.

Rachael Maddow's head just went

Yeah, I want them to stand firm on any new AWB talk. Not that it will matter either way, but I don't care if the NRA goes broke telling them not to pass a new ban.

I will 100% renew my membership now. Not much, but it is the least I can do to help.

I agree, and couldn't believe that they allowed him to almost obscure Wayne with his sign held up so high! They should have had guys with ARs strapped to their chests like a swat team escorting these scumbags out![laugh] Just kidding, because I know that wouldn't be downplaying the violence angle, but it would have been funny nonetheless.[wink]

Blaming video games and making the point that only those with .mil, police, or special training are good enough to protect the schools? What does any of that have to do with the 2A, again?

He made some good points, but lost me on the blame of a toy and pushing more police state bullshit.

This.
