It also seems everyone and their brother has at least one Ruger Mark II/III type pistol, or a 22/45.

I don't and neither does my brother.

my guess would be some form of an AR-15. who doesn't have one (that doesn't have it on their list)

I don't, at least until the AR lower buy comes thru.

LOL. I have a Sig 229 in .40 also (it was my first weapon). But I think the Ruger 10/22 has got to be way up there if not #1 most owned.

Kimber 45, Sig 9mm, S&W 45LC, 12 Gauge, and just for fun, an old, pristine, Rem Nylon 66 (22 LR) that I have had since the late 60's and still functions flawlessly. To keep senses sharp, there is an L.A.R. Grizzly in .45 Win Mag. Grin, its like a 1911 on steroids, both in physical size and performance....but it is still tight, shoots accurately, and I would trust it in a heartbeat to do what needs to be done.
