Another vote for GP100. My second gun purchase was a 6" stainless GP100 and love it. It's cheaper than a 686 and you can use the savings to get a trigger job and buy some ammo. I had Greg Derr do a trigger job and it was $85 if I recall.
yeah, i think you just have to try it to see if it's comfortable for you. every ones version of comfort or tolerance is different. plus i shoot revolvers better than semi-auto's, so i don't feel under-gunned because i have less ammo or cause it'll take longer to reload. a couple well placed shots are better than a dozen ill placed ones any day.
plus, revolvers are koool.
Just curious, how much better is the trigger after Greg worked on it? I recently got a GP100 and think the trigger is pretty sweet. I'm just wondering what exactly he did (smoothed out, lightened it, etc) and if you feel it was worth it. Thanks!

I am looking for a new toy for the range, maybe the tackle box, and I will be carrying it during the fall/winter...
Get an N-frame 8-shot and come to the dark side. You know you want to. Everyone is doing it.
Ok I lied. Went to the store this morning and looked at a 3 inch gp100 and a 2 and 1/4 sp101. I am the proud new owner of a gp100. Thought it over and went with the big boy.
It's compliant, so no worries.Found a GP100 stainless 3" bbl on gunbroker and bought it. Hopefully no MA complications!
I'll post pics when I pick it up. I'm one of the lucky few that get a nice delay every single time. Yay me.. :/
Ours is coming from TX. Will post when delivered.
You get bit by revolver bug? It's about time. I start out on GP100, but then switch to S&W.
