24 hours later, I just want to say thank you to everyone. This has been beyond helpful, cathartic, and even therapeutic. Sympathy and empathy are not foreign here by any means. I(we) appreciate the kind words and photos of fellow fur friends. Cat, dog, lizard or otherwise, the enrichment animals add to our everyday lives is not to be understated. The heartache is worth the journey.
