As the picture indicates, I "got in" to see my elected representatives this afternoon.

20130403_135519-1_zpsec76c507.jpg

I spoke to Senator Richard Ross (R), who is very pro gun. I thanked him for his support (GOAL= A+ rating) and asked him to beat back bills on further erosion of 2A rights. We spoke for about 10 minutes. His chief of staff gave me a tour and let me in to the Senate chamber, and took this photo. She has applied for her LTC. There was even some office chiding going on about "converting" another staffer to pro-gun. This Senator is our friend and must be preserved at all costs. Sen. Ross's staff said I was the second person in that day on 2A issues, someone had come in that morning.

Ross's staff hooked my up with an aide of Rep. Jeffrey Roy (D), who I had emailed before and got a response, but when I tried to make an appointment, didn't get a response. Through the efforts of Roy's aide, we pulled Rep. Roy out of a meeting and I gave what I thought was a good speech about Linsky's bill. We talked about prior restraint and other legal concepts. Rep. Roy seemed very interested and considerate. He told me he is sponsoring a Gun forum at Dean College in Franklin on May 30. I told him about the danger of Linsky being there, that he is a polarizing figure, and we talked about Holliston. Rep. Roy had yet to have a visitor on 2A issues that day, I was the first.

Overall a good day. Both my Senator and Representative appeared very interested and their staff very much also. We have got to get inside and make our case to these people. Rallying may feel good, but pressing the flesh inside is what we have to do.

good turn out today I think I got kissed by the sun a little bit. Curse my irish complection! here are some pics of the rally, the march, the state house, and from inside the devils den

The LaRouche douchebags did show up. They were walking up to the stairs before the statehouse as everyone was gathering in front of the statehouse.

You should read about Lyndon LaRouche. Guy is extreme left/right at the same time. Absolutely bananas.

Ah good to know. They had a stand set up across from the statehouse as I was leaving, hadn't heard of them before so I took some of the info they had.

Met alot of NES'ers today. It was a good time, all the speakers were well spoken. I did make it into the State House, met with Billerica Rep. Marc Lombardo, great 2A guy. He wanted to make it out to the event but there was a sudden roll call for vote this morning at 11 and according to him, they were stuck there waiting around.

Amazing how that can happen all of a sudden like .

I was almost able to talk with my Rep, she got called in for a roll call vote as soon as we sat down, so I talked with her aide instead.
My senator was not at the statehouse today, but I was able to talk with his Chief of Staff for a while.
I also left some information about the various bills with them.

Good turnout given the workday. I'd say it was more than the January rally.

Stupid garage was closed but found a parking spot a few blocks down Beacon St. A few people liked my sign and took a picture of it.

My Senator's staff was very gracious (and pro-gun). In addition to tracking down both my Senator and Rep for short meetings on 2A, they gave me an all access tour. If you haven't been in the Senate Chamber, there are two guns there. Check 'em out...

Talked with an aid to my rep and CofS to my senator. Senator Flanagan's office was expecting me. Had a good conversation with the CofS and met Sen Flanagan who was returning to the office. Thought I was treated fairly and courteously.
