Nice meeting you yesterday, Dan.
Even if you ARE an evil person for giving me a bayonet I don't have a rifle for... now I need to get another Enfield!
Thanks for making the trek! We'll take good care of them!Dropped the two Enfields off. Cant wait to see the photos of the event.
Scotch tasting? Bagpipes? The Scottish half of my blood is stirring. (The other half is wondering if there will be any ziti and meatballs to go with the Scotch.) I have never before wished I lived in MA... but I will be wishing so on May 17th.
Wednesday June 6th.
The Highlanders arrived last night, and performed for the Elementary and Middle school students today.

ZOMG! Guns at school!
And, most importantly to me, one of them is mine.
Anyone else going to the game on the 6th? I got some cheap tickets for me and the girlfriend up in the bleachers.

(Someone had to say it)
Long story short. The Lads needed 9 more rifles, I had 2 enfields in reserve. The Athol CoP says "I've got eight 1903 Springfields in my arsenal, come and get them". Now the lads can field 2 companies. The bayonet equipped rifles are all members of the NES family. The Regimental standard (Red from the Queen Yellow from the Duke) are currently in my kitchen awaiting the performance on Saturday Afternoon.
