Painless except for the kick in the groin at the end when they hand you an H+T restricted license. (Unless, they've gone green and I don't know it. )

Mike....you're absolutely right. Mine took 4 months to get an ALP. The ONLY reason I think I got it was because as an IT consultant, I frequently can have very expensive equipment. The LEO who handles the permits was very nice, but the CLEO is tough. There were numerous rights violated, but I won't go into them here because apparently CLEOs now read our posts.
