Thinking about buying second gun

Im thinking about buying a second gun already my uncle is hard up for cash. He said he'll sell me his Colt 1911 .45 series 80 Gold cup for $550 with 100 rounds of ammo and extra set of grips.

Just wanna make sure its a ok deal

If it's in good shape that would be a very good price. Iprfefer the Series 70 myself but that is just a personal preference. Go for it.

No, seriously, congrats! It'd be hard to find a better handgun for a 2nd purchase. That piece will probably be around a lot longer than we will.
Again, congrats and enjoy.
If you have any questions the people on this board are a wealth of knowledge on the 1911 and very willing to share what they know.
Just make sure your Google Fu is strong.
