The proposed Executive Orders

Do you really think they don't already have access to that information?

Of course they do, but now they can use it to issue sweeping gun control measures.

"Send it" like chinalfr from my can attached to a string from another can in the lair of the dark lord kramdar.

Am I the only one who sees an issue with enabling everyone with the capability to do background checks on each other? WTF
With a little personal information, it is likely we already can do so. Maybe not get to health records yet, but a lot of stuff is obtainable.

It's not really a background check, the only answer that comes back is PASS/FAIL/DELAY.

I'd rather have everybody able to run a simple NICS check on everybody else than have private transfers go through an FFL.

And I'd rather that we exist as free men and do business without begging permission from our masters!

Anyone familiar with the case of Brandon Raub knows how far the government has already gone in attempting to use the cover of mental illness to harass those with alternative political views.

As Thomas Szasz warned: http://www.cchrint.org/about-us/co-...quotes-on-psychiatry-as-a-human-rights-abuse/

“Although we may not know it, we have, in our day, witnessed the birth of the Therapeutic State. This is perhaps the major implication of psychiatry as an institution of social control.”
---
“Coercion masquerading as medical treatment is the bedrock of political medicine. Long before the Nazies rose to power, physician-eugenicists advocated killing certain ill or disabled persons as a form of treatment for both patient and society. What transforms coercion into therapy? Physicians diagnosing the subject’s conditon as a ‘disease,’ declaring the intervention they impose on the victim a ‘treatment,’ and legislators and judges ratifying these categorizations as ‘diseases’ and ‘treatments.’”
---

“It’s not science. It’s politics and economics. That’s what psychiatry is: politics and economics. Behavior control, it is not science, it is not medicine.”
---
“It’s an epidemic of psychiatry that we are dealing with. We don’t have an epidemic of mental illness, we have an epidemic of psychiatry.”
---

“Psychiatry is probably the single most destructive force that has affected the society within the last sixty years.”
---
“The task we set ourselves — to combat psychiatric coercion — is important. It is a noble task in the pursuit of which we must, regardless of obstacles, persevere. Our conscience commands that we do no less.”

This is a Loophole Grab of epic proportions...again this President and his Minions need to be removed from office. IMPEACH!

What did Texas do?

You kidding me?
The passed a law that will prosecute anyone that enforces federal ban. You know what this means? It means war if anyone imposes something on TX. Now, Wyoming also passed it but Wyoming is shithole. While Texas has army, planes, and guess what else NUKES!
So I bet 100% thats why he was afraid to do anything.

Yes, he generally seems to have been more wary than usual of legislating via EO. There are still some expenditures which were not authorized by Congress, but far from declaring bans on either FTF sales, Magazines or rifles outright.

95% of these EOs are fluff garbage that won't go anywhere. The BG check thing won't go anywhere because they'd actually have to modify federal law to enforce it, and even if it did exist, it's basically unenforceable anyways. The disturbing portions to me are all the crap that is linked into healthcare/obamacare and this "doctors cannot be prevented from asking" BS. That kind of stuff can easily be mutated into whatever they want it to be, particularly considering that Obama basically got to write the socialists a blank check with Obamacare.... so the most disturbing portions of this EO are all from that vector, which lines up with the "Back door gun control" nostrum that he told the Bradyites he was going to push.

My guess is he is cautious because apparently his handlers also "handle" certain people within the democratic party. If he went full retard and caused big waves, the shit spray from his fecal hose would come back and hit the dems pretty hard, because some voters would lash
out at these dems for not doing enough to stop Obama.

Best news I've heard all day.

4. Direct the Attorney General to review categories of individuals prohibited from having a gun to make sure dangerous people are not slipping through the cracks.

Bullshit. Are they really suggesting that the list of federal disqualifiers isn't stringent enough? A non-violent misdemeanor conviction can land you on the "prohibited for life" list, for Christ's sake. These people are the embodiment of evil.

A disturbing vector there is if they said "Oh we want people on the no fly list to be on the nics deny list" of course that would fail a court challenge miserably (denial of rights without due process) but it's still pretty disturbing.

TX always is ****ing badass. I'm sold. I'll deal with the heat, I don't care. I'll give some guns to the cartel if Go-time strikes, they will be extremely valuable.

No kidding. They are drug battle hardened and already shooting at federal agents anyway. Nothing would really change for them but the geography they are doing it in.

Here is a linky. Not sure it's passed yet though:

TX LEOs clashing with DHS in the TX desert. That should be good TV for all.

Best quote

""My daughter's 24, and she has a concealed handgun license and she can squeeze off as many shots with a 40-caliber Taurus as I could with a Bushmaster rifle," Toth told KUHF.org. "

Steve Toth DGAF! I like this guy. 50,000 in fines and 5 years in jail. I love it. Lone star state still has the stones to tell the fed to FOAD. How's TX this time of year?

I foresee a lot of debates, political posturing, and lawsuits before any of this stuff gets enacted (if ever).

As he now owns the healthcare system they can rally squeeze the docs to comply with their orders - or get cut out of the system.

Instant classic.

It will all boil down to mental health and money- if you have both, you can hang on to your guns, but eventually the mental health aspect will be wrung around to the the point that anyone who wants guns is considered crazy....

oh and....

Those of you saying this isn't too bad...DO NOT RELAX. We are facing threats on multiple fronts: Exec Order, Congress, Deval's bill in MA, NY's massive clusterf*ck, proposed VT AWB.

This is the beginning of a longer battle.

What time is Devil's shit show on tonight??? I am curious to hear what that ass bag has to say about any new laws. Hopefully it's nothing. Aren't the laws here bad enough already?
