I can't seem to get the Search function to work. There's probably something written about that in this thread, but I can't search to find it. If there's a Comment that addresses the Search function, could someone please let me know what number it is?

I read on another forum that recently updated that vers. 4.01 is out with some bug fixes and some IE 6 compatibility issue fixes.

I've just noticed that a small American flag flag shows in the corner of my address line now when I log into NES. It also appears on the tab of an open browsser window, and in my favorites list.

I should have been more clear, I'm on a net-pc style station at work, I log into a server every morning, its a big corporation that doesnt let you do a thing to personalize your computer let alone download anything. So I guess I'm pretty much screw-ed...

Apparently I clicked the post button twice somehow. It said I couldn't post twice within 30 seconds so I assumed something went wrong and waited to hit post again. And I think Derek is doing the update right now as the site looks FUBAR.

Yup, I just noticed that too. The "first unread post" link is at the top right in small print and that works however.

D, if you're feeling adventurous, I've found the difference that's breaking the new post in thread icon.

So from the main forum page, you get a link to the newest post that includes the anchor for that new post, but in the subforum thread listing, you lack that anchor (eg, #post12345). I would look at the code that constructs the link in the main forum page and see how it differs from the subforum page.

Or wait for 4.0.2

I have to say I'm still finding the main forum page rather tough to look at. I think maybe it's the fonts and colors. Then, when viewing individual threads the thick red bar separating posts seems too distracting or something. I know, I know...I should just go back to reading along with my finger! I haven't read through this whole thread so I don't know if these are common complaints or if I'm just being whiny.

Yes, but if you click it a second time, after it takes you to the top of the page containing the new post, it takes you to the new post. At least for me.

But then I have to click back twice, which is annoying. Also, it reloads the page, whereas before the anchor was already in the page, so it just jumped instantly down.

I was about to post that very thing myself- from the thread lists- it takes you to the top of the page. If you click on "view first unread" at the top of that page, it drops down to the unread post.

Another question- it is possible at the bottom "quick navigation" buttons to be able to pop up a level back to the thread list, with out going "top" then the clicking sub forum category, or having to scroll through the drop down list to get to the sub forum you're already in again? Yes, I'm a lazy F&*ker.... too many clicks makes me cranky.
