I came across this idea in another forum, and found it interesting....

So here it is... My one sentence review of all the guns i've had.... I'd love to hear yours...

Ithaca 16ga Long Range SxS - Shot great and accurately, ammo was impossible.
CZ Canvasback 20ga - I could shoot this all day long (and have).
Tikka T3 Lite 308 - Smoothest bolt I have ever worked, sub MOA to boot!
Sig Sauer Mosquito - Jamming, jam, jamalot.
Browning Buckmark - I cant believe Im saying the whole gun was too big, but it was.
Glock 19 9mm - Low and Left, then it left my safe.
Ruger 10/22 - It should be illegal to make a gun that is this fun to shoot, glad it's not.
Interarms Virginian Dragoon 357 - Single Action sweetness.
Smith and Wesson 686 357 - First shot - bullseye.
Ruger Single Six - 22's are fun, single action is fun, whats not to like?
Ruger LCR - Teeny gun that feels great and shoots straight, great CCW.

Walther P22 - Shoulda called it the "POS"
Browning A-5 - Kills ducks dead
Remington 1100 - Keep a spare ring handy
S&W K-17 (1984 vintage) - Only 6 shots of tack-driving goodness of 22LR
Ruger 44 Carbine - It's like a 10/22 for giant squirrels
Ruger SP100 - For those that haven't felt an S&W trigger but still want a 38 tack-driver

my opinion of ruger firearms. they suck

  • "No honest man needs more than 10 rounds in any gun."
  • "I never meant for simple civilians to have my 20 or 30 round magazines or my folding stock."
  • "I see nothing wrong with waiting periods."

Dude. Not only is Bill Ruger, Sr., no longer part of Sturm Ruger, but he's dead. He's been dead since 2002 and will likely stay that way.

How about gun review Haiku?

Ruger SR9c:
I shot the gun well
I liked my Glock a lot more
Dirtypacman's now

Not only that, but Ruger now sells normal cap mags, AR-15s, and a ton of compact carry guns.

Ruger 44 Carbine - It's like a 10/22 for giant squirrels

That mental picture was great[laugh]

Do they still make a .44 carbine? Either semi-auto, lever, or bolt?

One that they didn't do, which would be great, would be a .357 tube fed lever action.

Bushmaster Carbon 15: broken hardware, can't replace, kiss $500 goodbye

Depending on what it is you can swap out for normal stuff. There are tons of guys who have converted them into "normal" ARs by putting a real buffer tube on the gun somehow, with the usual trimmings. So depending on what is broken, you can probably still turn it into a usable rifle.

More importantly, Ruger has done an about face from some of the policies that were firmly in place when the old man ran the show.

Ruger now sells some of their rifles with > 10 round magazines - they were LEO in the old days.

Ruger targets the EBR market, not just the "gentlemen's sporting rifle" market

Ruger now makes compact handguns targets at concealed carry use.

Glock 30SF- love shooting 200+ rounds at a time, my hand hurts now!

Colt 1911-3"- just a beautiful thing.

Glock 17- speaks for itself.

GSG-5 fun and cheap, but no 10/22!

10/22- see above

PPS9- ill let you know in a couple hours when I pick it up

Glock 23- I wish you were a 19

Browning M2 HB: [smile][smile][smile]
