Even if you paid full price (locally), you would still be getting a good deal. A 4" blued Python from the 1970's, in that condition, is selling quickly at $1500-2000 all day on Gunbroker.

Yeah, I realized that these are mucho dollares on your side of the pond. Over here they are selling at ~ 1.5 - 2x S&W 27's.
I consider this one a part of my precious metal investments
Got to make the sellers looking for the original box still. IIRC it was there about a year ago and I hope they haven't thrown it away.

Went into Four Seasons to pick up a H&K VP9 and then I saw.... A S&W 625JM. I have been on a revolver kick lately and I keep getting drawn to them. I love a nice stainless steel revolver and I don't have to break the bank buying magazines (just ordered 10x .45acp moon clips).

My 625 is on of my fav's. Mine is a 5" s.s. have a blast!

45 acp . M3 "grease gun mags"

9 mm is easier to make since you can buy the barrel just need a 74 kit , barrel and mag adapter .
Just do some bolt and trunnion mods and rivet mag well in.

As a point of comparison, shitty worn python 4" get like $1300+ in the US all day long, hell, it's probably more than that now. Every Python I've seen in the past year was priced over $1500.
