New Acquisitions for March 2015

Vortex Viper PST 2.5-10x32 ffp. Glass is beautiful. This will likely show up again in April on the completed rifle. :)

Picked up a 1970's Ruger Single Six .22 with both cylinders and a leather holster this past weekend. Excellent shape, and the magnum cylinder had never been fired. It didn't even have the turn ring. The gun had just been brought in on consignment the night before. For $325 I couldn't leave it there. Brought it to the range the next day and it's a great shooter. I couldn't put it down. Inexpensive fun.

I'd like to add one to my collection too. I remember a distributor a while back who had Property of _____ (random correctional facility) stickers still on the stocks.

A few months ago my LGS had a few Wingmasters and Police Magnums with "State of Washington DOC" etched on the side and the usage labels on the stocks - Escape Mobile 3, Escape Post 8, etc. I couldn't decide whether I wanted a Wingmaster or the Police Magnum, so I grabbed one of each.

1989 browning Hi Power with 5 preban mags and a really mediocre home Durocote finish ( first thing to get fixed), trijicon sights and non biting hammer. Always wanted one! Good candidate to customize as my own.

Remington Rand 1911a1. All period correct and all serialized part numbers match. The thing is in literally pristine condition. I never thought I'd own a WWII 1911 but the price was right and I 'pulled the trigger"

I have a few guns I never thought I'd own. In my earlier years of starting to collect I never thought I'd be able to afford a Luger, let alone three of them. [wink]

Very nice RR. Congrats.

Nice! I'm hoping to shoot mine tomorrow for the first time. I'm really curious if the POI will change much with 125 gr and 158 gr loads. Find out soon enough.
With all the build up, we're gonna need a range video. Pics at a minimum. [smile]

Picked up today at my LGS...Colt Trooper Mk III .357 Magnum. Used but in good-very good condition. Noticeable cylinder drag line, bit I knew it was used. Some holster wear spots, and scratches on the top of the right wood grip.
Locks up tight and cleaned up nice, although the forcing cone area will need a second clean and scrub to get all the carbon buildup off.

This will pair nicely with my Trooper Mk III .22 (Blued finish and 6" barrel)

Great deal! My wife has a pair of recent SS convertibles, one blue one stainless. Very nice revolvers. Enjoy.

I have one of those I recently picked up. It is a fun gun to shoot. Mine also had some holster rash etc. A little cold blueing made a huge difference
