PTR 308 caliber, match barrel, trigger work done by Bill Springfield www.TriggerWork.net. SWFA SS 10x scope. Ordered front hand guard with a rail system on the bottom for bi pod etc. Bill does all types of triggers and his turn around time is a week. He can even smooth out AK G2 triggers. He also worked on my PSL and its like a new rifle!

I also just got one of these also; I was looking for a 308 semi auto, and I couldn't believe how cheap you can get (preban) mags for the HK clones; $4.00 each for 20 round aluminum mags. Much more reasonable than the M14 or AR10 mags that I could locate.

Yep, they're a dime a dozen and reliable. However, I'm old fashioned and prefer the steel mags of which I've squirreled away some for change as well.

And then there were 3...a QD NES 16" carbine, a YHM NES 20" bull and a YHM NES 16" 9mm for giggles:

Thanks to a great NES member for the NES lower trade this weekend.

I acquired this in a trade yesterday. I traded my WASR 10 and some ammo for this 1980 Smith & Wesson 27-2 8 3/8".
The finish is nearly perfect except for a small nick on the cylinder and an idiot/tool mark around the yoke screw.

Just traded for a Norinco SKS and something called an Western Six Shooter by HY Hunter Inc. Firearms MFG. It's one of the cheap 1970s/80s .22 models that sold for about $50 brand new. I didn't really need another 22 revolver, but I liked the fact that it says "MADE IN WEST GERMANY" - not easy to find a newer model made in W. Germany :) The markings are pretty funny - it says ".22S.L.LR CALIBER" and underneath it has "MAGNUM" stamped in entirely different lettering, then it appears to be lined out anyway. Huh. Anyway, the SKS was my intended purchase and I can't wait to shoot it - never had an SKS.

Edit: I said I was going to start thinning out my gun collection and focusing on getting a good core collection, but so far I've added three and only subtracted one this month. I'm not sure that math is in line with my plan.

Nice SKS. Sounds like that revolver can shoot any .22 pretty much - .22 short, .22 long, .22 long rifle, .22 magnum
Don't try to shoot .22 magnum in it in the regular cylinder if you're a fan of your hands. If it can shoot .22 magnum, it'll have a dedicated cylinder for it.

You got the better end of that trade! Now you just need to find some proper wood stocks for that baby.

A couple of weeks ago my friend Pete picked up a Mossberg and was shooting it in the pit at the club. I was watching, and he handed it to me, explained how to operate it, and let me shoot it a couple of times. It's the first time I've fired a shotgun in probably 40 years.

Stopped by the gun/pawn shop on the way home tonight and; (yeah, you know the rest):

Just in case...

Wife got me a bore cam for Christmas but was 20' and 8mm. We sent back and just got nice small one that fits into .22 barrels.
Takes stills and video, hooks to TV an screen can detach and be used remotely.
