Massachusetts LTB? ("License to "Bulge")

Also, besides being s necro thread, this situation couldn't have happened. No way would a "real cop" hang out with a deputy in Massachusetts.
Word.

The officer had no reason to suspect a crime was being committed. Note this:

the police had no probable cause to believe that the defendant was or had been engaged in any criminal activity. There is no evidence to suggest, and the Commonwealth does not claim, that the defendant was acting suspiciously when he was seen by the clerk at the convenience

Bet those officers have been a lot more "suspicious" ever since.

I remember when NES's search feature sucked. ... Then, the forum software was updated. ... And boom, our local big brain users use it to necro loosely related on-point threads that no one remembers I don't remember instead of making a new one.

This is why we can't have nice things @one-eyed Jack spends half his day pointing out (correctly) that some new topic has been discussed 59 times before. [rofl]
FTFY.[shocked]

We have many threads, some are like 10+ years old with people replying to posts that are way out of context for modern stuff in many cases. Not only that, but a lot of the people being replied to are either dead, banned or not active on NES.

County Sheriffs personal who are deputized work with police a LOT as well as transport guys back and forth from court and as mentioned do tons of details.

I meant to tell you that the average seniority for FL corrections officers is under 3 years. Apparently the pay is that bad. Insane. [rofl]

Peak necro is posting a retort to @Scrivener.

In over twenty years as a state corrections officer I've never, ever seen or heard of a county deputy doing a road detail. Transporting inmates, absolutely. But details, not once.

No idea about DOC, but County 100%.

I promise you it’s a fact, I did 20 years in County and did a few details myself and know hundreds of others that did

I remember when NES's search feature sucked. It found nothing useful at all.

Then, the forum software was updated. All of a sudden we had a search feature that was amazing. And boom, our local big brain users use it to necro loosely related threads that no one remembers instead of making a new one.

Let's see ...

If people stsrt a new thread with a sh*t post, we tell thst person it belongs in another thread.

If the person adds it to a thread, we tell then to start a thread.

Now, AHM post didn't need to resurrect a thread, not even related to it and there was no good reason to resurrect this thread. But still ... if more people searched, we would probably have longer threads with more useful information rather than 75 two page threads, half sh*t talks on the same subject.

PS: @AHM your necro thread game is weak lately.

That is crazy. County CO’s at my former dept can make over a 100K of they want to do OT.

They are in such dire need of help they are asking retirees if they want to come back part time for $25 an hour, which isn’t terrible especially for just doing escorts

government jobs here blow. I believe the state workers have only gotten one raise in 10 years or something like that. [rofl]

As a retired police officer I can tell you that I have seen some county deputy sheriffs working road details even in my former SE MA town, and they definitely wear their uniforms outside the walls.

You watched Steve's video and it didn't scream "Haskell!" at you?

Dup. posts are just a grassroots effort to starve Google and their ilk.

I have 240 freaking threads started since 5-Jan'22 to catch up on
since I got back from vacation. Not counting the 176-post "AK/SKS questions",
which I tore the scab off of before we had to go to dinner today.

Next time you are at an event at Foxboro, or just driving by, look around at the different uniforms. There are quite a few deputies from several sheriff's departments.
Pray tell, are any of them football fans, perchance?

Not in my neck of the woods. Must be a southern Mass thing.
I can tell you that it is true in Bristol, Plymouth and Norfolk Counties. I think it was also true in Middlesex and Suffolk Counties, but it's been a long time since I spent any time since I worked for BCPD at their football games (when they brought in police from damn near everywhere).
