I was there. [popcorn][popcorn]

It was heartening to see the crowd.[pics]

The speakers were hard to hear from this side of the street.[tinfoil]

Looks like more than a few hundred to me...

I was there holding the AR/Hammer sign along with the gun control for dummies signs seen below.

Awesome turn out. I wouldn't say I was surprised, but I was gearing up for disappointment. It was pretty awesome to see the huge crowd as I got closer to the state house.

Was right behind you. Loved the "dummies" sign! Nice effort! I saw a lot of great signs.

Arrived a few minutes late due to disable trains on the green line, but I mad it by 1215 and stuck around until after 1400. It was sometimes hard to hear from across the street, but I'm glad I showed up. Huge props to the folks who started the ball rolling, and thanks to those who have been posting photos/video.

I was there also. I was going to Boston this Saturday and wanted to blow the trip off to attend the Hartford one in my home state. I found out about the Boston one and attended it :) glad I did I want to support Mass also since I also compete at the New Bedford sportsman's club at the steel challenge matchs and its very importen to me that the laws don't change in ether states. MA hosts a lot of great matches. I also took and posted up some pics on the Facebook page

You guys hosted a very great peaceful rally and I was glad I could be a apart of it. thanks -Dave

Look at these threads today and see how many brand-new users are able to say "I was there.".

This is a beautiful thing. I'd be willing to bet a large portion of us there today were there because of this forum.

Thank you Derek, for your service and for what this site has become.

You can't deny this is an instrumental tool for our victory.

I was there when I heard "wolverine". I was with 3 other people who car pooled. BPD was very profesional. The motorists who "honked" for support with their flags was motivating!

I was there

Great job getting everything going, Shaun, and THANKS for the ride!!

Very glad I was able to attend, and extremely proud to be a part of such a great group of people [thumbsup] Some very impressive and moving speeches as well.

Was finally able to meet a bunch of folks from NES, StevieP is the only screen name I can think of offhand.

I rode in with a group from Alewife. I got a few confused looks on the T because of my sign, but no issues. I saw a bunch of my NES and shooting friends, and made a few more. At Alewife on my way home, I ran into a coworker. We chatted for a few minutes and though not a gun owner, he gets it. Today's event, running into my coworker, and a few other recent events have helped me realize that we need to be more open about owning guns. I know there is a huge taboo about this in MA, but if we can show our friends and neighbors that we are good, hard working, stand-up people who also own guns, attitudes will start to change.

Thanks to Shawn for taking point on organizing this, to all of those who spoke, and most important, to all of you who showed up. This was my first rally/protest, and I was riding the high for several hours after.

Here are a couple of pictures of the front and back of my signs.
