It is funny you should say that, I have the same thoughts from time to time with some of his statements/Tweets this year, they are getting progressively worse. Quite a few in my family/social circle have become turned off by it this year and I doubt they will vote for Trump with the exception of the people who have gun rights as one of their highest concerns.
Exactly the same here. About 1/2 the gun owners I know won’t vote for Trump but we are in Massachusetts so it isn’t very surprising.

I don't see him lasting a year if they win. He's just a puppet.
Yeah somethings up. Never mind campaigning, he has barely even been out of the house. No VP announced yet either. Is that normal? Would we typically know who the VP would be by July of an election year? I kind of think they dont plan on him serving even a full term as president and the person they have lined up as VP, and therefore future prez, is so horrendous they are going to wait until Nov to spring it on everyone.

Nothing that has happened since March is normal - the election will be no different.

Just like with Hilary, Biden and his condition is unpalitable to many of the fence sitters. This will only get worse as he leaves his padded cell to speak to the public. Trump, as much of an a**h*** he is, has been doing an acceptable job. The fence sitters will either decide to sit it out, or pull for Trump quietly.
Uber left and Uber right will vote accordingly and cancel each other out. As always.
So the vote, as always, depends on the fence sitters.
Yes, and the middle ground tends to go with the incumbent when nothing bad has happened. Only the deranged can blame Trump for the virus and the Dems have shot themselves in the foot supporting draconian lockdowns followed by supporting rioters. The middle voters are gonna punish them for that.

Yep. And I have a very bad feeling about this fall. Trump just keeps shooting himself in the foot over and over with some of his statements/Tweets - I thought a couple months ago it was his election to lose and he doing his best to lose it.
I am starting to think he doesn't want to get re-elected.

There is no way Trump loses in an even remotely honest election. That said if non-Trump wins most of you guys stocking up on goodies are just going to turn them in when told to do so. Or bury them so deep you might as well have turned them in.
Even NYers didn't obey when told to turn in their guns. The government has lost any credibility at this point - so people won't voluntarily turn in anything these days. And the government isn't ready to go door to door, and may never be. There is no backbone in Washington whatsoever.

There's been no national effort on gun control to speak of - and half the states would ignore any such effort. Worst case is people like Ma**h***s will have to move to another state.

I guess it really wouldn't matter at that point. Most every right and thing will be stripped away from the lower working class, because Joe will be replaced by the manchurian VP they select and whatever that person is into, it will be; so you won't have to worry about loosing your stuff to defend most any right. It will be taken from you. You may see some different things happening in society at that point.

Bingo. The entire US vs the Feds has the same dynamics as rioters vs municipal police: the numbers of citizens will easily overwhelm them, not to mention some enforcers who would refuse to carry out those orders and the escalation required. And it'll be even slower than typical gov't progress with millions of firearms and no registry to even guide them.

Maybe, I don't know that I see stripping rights as the left's primary goal right now. It looks to me like it's more about free handouts, destroying America's history and replacing traditional culture and values with ones endorsed by the LGBTQ mob.

It seems more and more to me like we're headed for the states splitting up. Those states not willing to tear down America's history and erect monuments to rappers and gay rights, will split from the union. But that's only in the unlikely event that Trump loses. If he wins and keeps stacking the Supreme Court, the left will have trouble moving their agenda forward.

Politicians follow the winds, they aren't true believers in any cause - so when they realize the public is sick of reverse racism and anti-Americanism, they'll step back from the cliff.

The left's primary goal is whatever issue they can make hay with at any given point in time.....they're always going for the lowest hanging fruit while all other issues simmer in the background

Taking shots at civil society/burning down society was just an opportunity some idiot cop killing someone who happened to be black and he happened to be white......nothing that ACTUALLY points to racism......just coincidences/reason to throw bombs

They do the same thing with gun control.....when there's a shooting that fits their narrative they pull the pre-written bills violating 2A out of the drawer.......but ignore these incidents when they dont fit the narrative.....recall how fast the colorado school shooting got buried by the dems and media when it became known that the shooters were TRANS Teenage students at that very school.....

On the subject of the OP......waiting until the election is over to buy anything is like waiting until the hurricane hits and there's no power to go out and purchase a generator

If Biden wins AND the Senate is flipped, we’re screwed. They’ll jam through California-style legislation with no sunsets and even if Republicans get the Presidency and both chambers of Congress back, they won’t touch repealing anything.

But anyway, now is the time to buy what you want, not if Biden is elected. If Biden wins, then parts and magazines will be in short supply like ammo is now. The moment results come in, people will be swarming online shops.

Buy it now. All of it. And then buy some more.
^^^^^^^THIS^^^^^^^^^^

Maybe I missed the memo, but isn't the "stimulus money" supposed to be used to "top off" (NOT CREATE) your stocks? And just watch for the next round of "stimulus" money that will further punish my grandchildren and their grandchildren.

I’m pretty much stuffed to the gills with what I need at any given time. The Covid debacle let me re-examine my preparations and I’m making those adjustments. I will likely buy more silver and make some major adjustments in my investments. And dust off my ‘ What if Clinton wins’ list from the last election.

The way we're going, there won't be any debates. The Dems are already pushing for that. They have all the fear porn they need. No need to subject Joe to the Rona, right?
The brain trust at the DNC is burning the midnight oil trying to figure out how to weasel out of it without it being a disaster as we speak ,i'm sure.
They are in the position right now that they have to get away from the general opinion that's out there that his cheese has slid off his cracker or putting him on the stage and proving it.

Nothing is going to change.

Many people grudgingly voted for Trump in 16. They didn't like him. But they despised Hillary.
Now 4 years later, we've seen Trump to be something that is worse than many of us could even imagine.

If I was a middle of the road person who didn't care about gun rights, I'd have voted for Trump in 16 and Biden in 2020.

In short. Trump is Effed.

4 months ago, I was saying that Trump was going to lose, but all he had to do was shut the hell up. The American people have a short memory. The economy would secure his re-election.

Covid trashed the economy and revealed what anyone with half a brain already knew. That his lack of intellectual horsepower, thin skin, and nonexistent grasp of the details would make him terrible in a crisis.

He's Toast.

Lets be real guys. I get that he's our idiot. But he IS an idiot.

I am very nearly a single issue voter, gun rights. If Biden were pro gun, I'd consider voting for him.

As it is, I have the luxury of living in a state where my vote for President doesn't really count. The Dem candidate will will all of MA's electoral votes easily.

So I will be doing what I did in 16. Writing in Ron Paul.
Not sure if serious- but basically the only way the Biden can win is if they rigged the vote in about a half a dozen Battleground States. Your commentary is basically the same mistake that myself and a whole bunch of other people made the first time around ... everybody assumed that "he was an idiot" but the reality of the situation is that nobody was going to vote for his opponent willingly other than the typical hack n stock dems. Biden does absolutely nothing with regards to invigorating independent voters. The presidential election is decided by a bunch of weeblewobbly independent voters in about six states, the rest of them are all going to default to whatever they usually do. Given this reality, there are only two ways that Trump can lose the election- the first of which is that there is record fraud in some of the swing states. The second is, the Democrats actually get a clue and dump Biden at the eleventh hour and actually put somebody reasonable / centrist in at the end. If the Democrats do not have a candidate, that they can use to effectively. court Middle America, then they will not win the election.

I also don't understand your commentary about Trump being "worse than anything you could imagine" for starters that's not really some kind of a huge bar to reach. All of the presidents of my lifetime have been pretty much shit going all the way back to Reagan. If Trump can actually keep us out of another huge war, based on that he will automatically have earned his place is one of the better ones in this century....

My money is on this. The DNC has had their candidate in mind all along and they will not reveal her identity until the last possible minute, allowing Joe to draw fire until then. They know what worked for them last time they won - and last time they lost. Young, diverse, and unscrutinized is a winning combination. Old white establishment is a loser. The media will play their role and getting back to the original topic of the thread, if you haven't started buying now you're already late to the party - and if you wait until November the shelves WILL be bare.

Similarly, if that were to happen then the supreme court would be forced to hear cases on the constiutionality

There would also be massive backlash against the dems even from within their own party by all of the new dems that are gun owners

It took a Jimmy Carter to give us Ronald Reagan......and a Barack Obama to give us Donald Trump

All of Massachusetts's electoral votes will go to Biden, so republicans in Mass Voting for Trump are casting nothing more than a symbolic and ineffective vote. It's up to all the rest of you red state and swing state members to vote and to bring along as many family and friends as you can. With the left destroying our cities and erasing our history there has never been a more important time to keep them from acquiring complete control. So it's 4 more years of Trump or an 8 year slide into the pit of socialism.
Go help us.

There likely would be backlash, and some dems might lose their seats. But nothing would be done to repeal anything.
