Dr arrested with cache of weapons

OP. Read the article you posted.

"... when police stopped him as they investigated a report he had threatened his estranged wife and family."

"Bonanno had gotten a ride to the bar with a friend. Cops found his car parked in front of his wife's house in Tuckahoe, and it was a search of that vehicle that yielded the monstrous stash of weapons, officials say. Aside from the rifles, ammunition and armor, Bonanno also allegedly had pepper spray, scopes, binoculars, 29 high-capacity loaded magazines, handguns, a stun gun, handcuffs, face masks and brass knuckles. That was his car."

Just how dangerous is his wife if he needed all that hardware to off her? She some kind of super spy?

Plastic surgeon who allegedly threatened wife found with cache of assault-style rifles

The arrest came after a tipster told authorities they heard the plastic surgeon at the bar "say he wanted to kill his wife and family

When police searched Bonanno's car, they found five assault-style rifles fully loaded with high-capacity magazines, three handguns, 29 high-capacity magazines and over 1,600 rounds of ammunition, police said.

Investigators also discovered a stun gun, heavily ballistic body armor, a ballistic helmet, handcuffs, masks, military-style knives, brass knuckles, scopes and binoculars, authorities said.

All in New York! I wonder if he had a New York Firearm License.

Technical point...

cache
/kaSH/
noun
  1. 1.
a collection of items of the same type stored in a hidden or inaccessible place.
    "an arms cache"
verb
  1. 1.
store away in hiding or for future use.
I don't think a car qualifies as a hidden or inaccessible place.

You could probably call it an arsenal (which just means "a collection of guns") but there must be a word or phrase that amounts to "go rack" or "ready rack" for a mobile arsenal. Tactical arsenalization?

If not for the threats, he'd be A OK in just about any other US state.

Even with all that.

Maybe next time don't threaten to kill waifu.
