A fascinating talk by Stephen Halbrook outlining the details of his book - "Gun Control in the Third Reich Disarming the Jews and 'Enemies of the State.'” Very long but a great presentation and very applicable to today.

He starts speaking at about 20 minutes into the first video

Hitler, Stalin, Mao, and every dictator in the history of the world has disarmed the populace. It is a very old story and a screaming testament as to why the Second Amendment exists.

It's worth mentioning that in post-WWI Germany it was the Weimar Republic progressives that disarmed the populace. It just made the Nazis' job that much easier.

Look at the moral character of a good many of our political leaders.
Now picture them with total control over a population unable to oppose them.
Not hard to picture what comes next.

The lessons of the past.

Those that do not learn the lessons of the past are doomed to repeat them.

A better man than me said that.

Registration leads to confiscation. Remember that the next time you fill out and submit a FA-10 form to our socialistic rulers here in the Commiewealth!

One difference is that back in 30s Germany you probably didn't have a bunch of Starbucks-sipping, Bloomberg-following, wussy-acting, liberal-media-believing, pansy-resembling, wingnut MOONBATS hanging out at the day spas in Cambridge, Brookline, Newton etc etc etc, telling each other (and, importantly, their CHILDREN) that the Naziis were doing the right thing...."because, little son or daughter, the Nazi's are GOOD, and GUNS ARE SOOOOOOO BAD!!!!!!"

That's one difference I see anyways.

Hell, some of these idiot pus*ies probably think reincarnated Nazis would be a good thing, if it would just make those mean, nasty, ugly, noisy, scary GUNS just vanish from the earth. And, for that matter, they'd vote Obama a 3rd term, if there wasn't a constitutional provision against the Kenyan-in-Chief running again.

Just walk around Boston, Brookline, or ride the MBTA green line, etc etc and listen to the conversations these liberal sons and grandsons of Dukakis voters are having. Just listen to how incredibly BRAINWASHED they have become.

You have no idea how correct you are, Sir. The schools have done an excellent job of emasculating what is now recognized as a male in this world.

Some of fearless leaders have given us peeks into what's really in their minds.
O's whining about the constitution preventing him from pushing ahead with HIS agenda for the country ect.
People like Linsky referring to politicians as "rulers".
There are no less evil sob's in this country than there are in any other.
Our laws are what has kept us from ending up with our own Saddam Hussein, or Gaddafi.
There's no doubt in my mind that there are more than a few that fap themselves to sleep at night dreaming of declaring themselves "Supreme ruler" and crushing all opposed to them.
The one mistake the founding fathers made was not including a standing death penalty for screwing with the constitution.
