Now that Enbloc and others have answered the question. . . .

What IS the furthest thing from Maura? A heterosexual dude or a homosexual dude????

As far as Jack, he can be an a-hole here sometimes. But THIS thread??? A quick search would answer the question for the OP. I'm sure there is a thread in mASS Legal forum.

As far as us not being a kumbaya-fest here, I've yet to see a gun board that is. As far as our "politics" ummm, I'm going to oppose just about everyone that is anti-gun. That means that the party with anti-gun sentiments is also the party of free stuff and less freedom. So you're going to find a one-sided political debate here. Hell, I'm one of the "liberal" ones here according to some. LOL
I beg your pardon. I've only been an a-hole here 305 times. Jack.

I've only been here a little over a year and have found the sight to be plenty successful and for the membership fees a much better value than pornhub. For resources and networking with good people it serves its purpose. I dont think it was designed to be the facebook of the 2A world. A simple click in the search bar and plenty of previous threads with the same information over and over will be presented. So if someone is too lazy to put in the 30 seconds of legwork to look, one can only assume the OP's intentions are less than honest and you get once again what we have now. Long time members trying to protect a good thing. Just sayin.

Actually Jack's response is pretty much everything that's Wrong with Northeast Shooters.

By "Wrong" I mean everything that's keeping the site from being as sucessful and prosperous and useful and dynamic as it could be.

If Jack loves to post so much, why doesn't he just take two seconds to post a useful link.

And yes, I understand Jack is a beloved figure here on this board. (Hi Jack. We've met. And I've shot your suppressed shotgun).

Why don't you guys try to turn Northeast shooters from a snarky backwater treehouse who that loves to play in-group politics and outputs a massive signal-to-noise ratio into an reliably excellent place to get accurate information and form useful social contacts which could build cohesion for the 2A movement?

You can do whatever you like--but it's worth asking.

Not answering for Jack, but when a question is posed, especially about an AR in Massachusetts, and what to do etc...by someone who has been on the boards for two years, who has no posts and then posts the same question, in two different forums, at the same time........you're going to get Jack's answer. A simple search would have provided a plethora of similar questions and threads on the subject.

What's funny is he texted me earlier but I was working in an area with no signal so I couldn't prevent the carnage [laugh]

It’s black history month ,ask yourself this,
why do need an ar 15.

why did Rosa parks need to sit in the front of the bus.

if rosa parks had an ar15, no one would ask her that question.

YES! (except the racist demoncratic scum wanted her to sit in the back)

Why didn’t he just call u and ask his question?

Echo 5?????? I assume u mean pay grade E5???? We don’t have E5’s in the Marines, we have Sergeants...Echo 5 must be an Air Force thang.
Jesus yes I was trying to be discrete because everyone here thinks I’m a fake. Never heard of brevity code? Yeah I’m a Sergeant you Mo-tard

What is it with you god damn leathernecks? At ease both of you. No need to go attacking a tank with a knife.
Much respect gents...thank you both.

The questions about ARs since 20 July 2016 tend to get boring, tedious and obnoxious. We only have 500 threads on the topic. If you think something actually changed on 20 Jul 2016 then it is not possible to give you an answer. Since the LAW did not change, any answer people provide is just plain made up.

Read MGL chap 140 sec 121 for the definition of "assault weapon". Read MGL chap 140 sec 131M to understand legality of "assault weapon". Read MGL chap 140 sec 129C to understand your obligations as LTC/FID holder.

Don't read https://www.mass.gov/doc/enforcement-notice/download and expect to gain any clarity on anything (other than the fact it actually enumerates "federal Public Safety and Recreational
Firearms Use Protection Act, 18 U.S.C. section 921(a)(30) as appearing in such section on September 13, 1994" which can be hard to find)

Don't read any part of MGL chap 140 sec 121-131Y expecting it to actually be consistent, logical, make sense, or to answer any of your hard questions. Ask your lawyer since you will rely on case law and that will frequently be in direct contradiction of the law itself. As the marsupial courts of MA apply the doctrine of "GUNS", logic and the written law is not relevant.

Get an AR. limit it to one evil feature. Buy lots of ammo. Go shoot it.

If you want more clarity, move to a free state where there are not pages and pages of gun laws that confuse you or AGs that hold press conferences to reinterpret that gun laws. You will never be happy with the answer in MA because it is frequently going to be "who knows?" because on any given day in any given MA court you can be convicted of a violation of pretty much any gun law on the books.

If it is after 1pm, it is not @one-eyed Jack posting but his parrot. He tends to post the same thing he has previously posted which is my proof it is really his parrot just repeating what Jack previously said. But then again, his parrot is pretty much always correct so...

Maybe if people did not post the same questions over and over, we could catch that damn parrot out repeating itself. But until then, good luck telling the difference.

Consult a lawyer. Or you could let us know what you'd like to hear and we'll go with that as our expert legal advice.

It's just a chunk of rock, probably pushed up from the frost into the mowed area. The Monument here is along the AT. If I drive past today I'll grab the rock for you.
