So your flats come with the trigger holes and rails pre hardened? Or you just like building stuff shittily as possible? I don't believe you've ever even built an AK I don't think you have a f@cking clue what you are talking about and should stop giving advise on shit you've never done.

I didn't build mine from a flat because of heat treating. I'm not set up for that at all, whatsoever. Mine went together as easy as it is possible. AK builder with a chrome lined barrel, and southern armament for the receiver. I need to get my trigger straightened out though... My disconnecter only grabs the hammer about 14 out of 15 times.

Wow people post fast on this site!! Thanks for all the comment much appreciated what do you guys think of a 1975 gp wasr 10/63 with the arrow stamp on it?.. has a tapco trigger and a screw on muzel brake asking 700 is that worth looking at or should i keep searching.. i hear alot of contrvercy with the wasr's some say there junk others love them..

Go on classic firearms website get one there Id recommend an AK-74 made by waffen werks the one I got is very nice it was a grade B they are $599 then go get your self a few crates of 5.45x39 from shooters outpost for $429/2160 rds and shoot the crap out of it, but if you prefer an AK-47 variant they have plenty of those to choose from too cheapest I've seen.

My wAsR was ok never had a hiccup but there is better deals out there check out the classic arms site they have a ton to choose from and I'm not sure if you've ever ordered a gun before but it's very easy to ship to a ffl for pickup

I have a WASR , I rank it about as " nice " as my beat to shit Mossberg 500. It always works , it will hit a trash can at 100 yards every time. I've probably put 3000 rounds though it and after the initial Cosmo clean out I think I have cleaned it one other time , maybe.

Bought it the week Deval Patrick was elected just to make a statement. $325

AK's cost so much because retards were willing to pay 4 times what they were worth because they were retards.

Moral of the story, don't be a retard.

pretty much this, at the worst they were still to be had under a nickle as long as you didn't need it that week.... under deuce of you're handy with a shovel.

Keep looking around, there are deals to be had out there. Earlier this year I walked into a shop and found an unfired Arsenal Bulgarian milled SLR-95 for $650.00
Naturally it followed me home :)

don't buy into gAyR hype. Most of these "accurate" guys shoot reloaded ammo off a bench on a static target, 10min for each shot, when weather is nice. Those who don't, don't need a rifle to kill.

Look around, the deal will find you when you least expect it. If you choose to build your own take your time to understand how it works. You can't buy skill. And for everything that's holy, get it in 7.62.

If you don't trust Russians read up on Germans, one thing they agree on is that ARs are for basement operators.

Definitely take advantage of Queen Bees postings from Gunbroker. She helped me track down a nice Mak 90 for $600. There are deals to be had on gunbroker, just have to do research and ask the seller questions and make sure they've got good feedback. Then just talk with a FFL beforehand to get it all planned out.

join ak family..., be merry, have vodka.. welcome to the rifle equivalent of a glock that is the AK.. simple and easy to take apart and clean.

To answer the OPs question.... two words... "Import Bans". The companies that offer them have to do stupid acrobatics legally to get the ones we do have into the country, and then repair the things. If it wasn't for that crap, there's no reason why you couldnt buy a Semiauto AKM for like $250 or less. Food for thought..... in 2004 a WASR-10 (repaired to take real mags) was like $259.

My AR just makes me mad every time I have to clean it. If I had to sell one the AR would be first to go.

What's with the incessant cleaning? I went like 500-1000 rounds between cleanings. AKs get dirty as ****, too, but I only cleaned those once a year, regardless of round count. [rofl]

A couple of notes on this AK: http://shop.massfirearmsschool.com/zastava-762x39mm-p-4037.html

The cash price for the rifle is $668.

For $75 we can modify the rifle to accept standard AK mags.

This AK is better than a standard Mass compliant AK in that it has a brake as opposed to a bull barrel.

We have been impressed with these rifles…they are well made .

No offense MFS, but $757 seems kinda high....

Who said anything about incessant cleaning? But I hate cleaning that damn thing, and it is necessary. Just thinking about it makes me want to throw it in the classifieds.

oh please Century built wasr is probably one of the worst if not that worst AK variant you can get.
i just got one and i can't stop vomiting. probably will be selling it shortly what a piece of crap.

If you want a decent AK, get a saiga - for the price it's top notch AK even though it's neutered but you can't argue the build quality of a true izhmash-built gun. it's well worth to pay 100-150 more than what wasrs go for these days but you will be glad you did once you learn more about AKs.

I got WASR for around $500 with shipping and transfer being extra and it's gun that should cost $350 at best not $500 on sale.
that thing is terrible, very rough. sloppy machine work, unexisting tolerances. receivers aren't square if you like to enjoy things nice than spare yourself frustration and stay away from wasrs

well you can continue to bash them unnecessarily if you see its necessary. It is by no means the best but it gets the job done. Its an AK its not suppose to be a beauty queen. you are not aware of the current market at all. sigas go for about $600 and then you have to dump money and labor into them to convert them, which you will have a better riffle but at a higher cost.

I had one and hundreds on here own them and they work fine.

i remember my cousins and uncles buyins sks's and wasr's for $200-$350 any one know where i can find a reasonalble priced rifle?

Thanks

I remember paying a quarter for a coke in a vending machine and free meals on airplanes. I also remember seeing bins full of Lee-Enfields for und $100 each and 50 rnd boxes of Gold-Dots for under $20. Unless you have a time machine, you are probably going to pay what ever things are selling for on the day you buy it.
