What's Going On In Boston Right Now (Gladstone Street)?

Any chance this guy in East Boston was the infamous gecko45...or does the legend live on in Bolt from Bolt Force?

I think we've found a new longstanding NES joke in Bolt Force. Thanks, LoginName!!

According to Evans Press Conf.

Suspect had no LTC in MA

Evans can't seem to get whatever weapon Figueroa used straight... tactical rifle, tactical shotgun.. whatever. SMH. he doesn't seem like the brightest bulb on the tree.

Evans' job interview probably went like the line from Eddie Murphy in "Trading Places":

Evans: "I was with the Green Berets, Special Unit Battalions Commando Airborne Tactics... Specialist Tactics Unit Battalion."

Whoever hired him: "You're hired!"

gecko45 was a deliberate troll. He went just a little to far when he started talking about wall-walking boots. Until then, it was almost believable. In other words, gecko45 was making fun of whackers like this clown.

What unit do you use ? Uniden?

I have a small hand-held Uniden. Nothing special really. Model 346 or something like that, I don't recall exactly. I'm not really "into" scanning, I just turn it on what there's something specific going on. I think the last time I really used it was after the marathon bombing.

Sad to say, but they're very much real... http://www.cnn.com/2015/09/16/opinions/cevallos-bolt-force-phoenix-vigilantes/

Even the worst, most god awful TV reality show can be taken more seriously.
The worst-shooting people at the Boston PD range session last time I renewed were armed security guys. You would almost literally be safer standing in front of the target than one side. Three of them, all three massive failures. Not even a 30 caliber pencil could have saved them.

Evan's quote "tactical shotgun" from press conf. watchnig live on FB

[rofl] LOL. LSM lost their ****ing minds over evil super killy "A-Salt Weapons".

LOL. So much for our gun control lawrs being effective.

This clown claimed to have some experience in the Army. If that is actually true (admittedly a very big if), then he might actually have some marksmanship skills.

A soft vest isn't any help against a rifle, and not much against a slug from a 12ga so it likely made no difference in this case.

Not really my point nor do I think the point of other posters who commented.

They are not bomb proof either but in most situations it's better than a tee shirt under your uniform.

What kind of horseshit policy allows uniformed officers on patrol to not wear their vests?

Why, a union-backed policy, of course!
As for their demand for improved bullet-resistant vests, the city pointed out that its ability to get external support, in addition to the $350,000-a-year the city spends on vests is limited because the union has not agreed to a policy making it mandatory to wear a bullet-resistant vest.

Shocked, I tell you, shocked.

The BPD is spending almost $200/year/officer for vests, but the cops don't wear them. The state has a program to reimburse departments for new and/or replacement vests. That doesn't even include the federal programs to provide vests for them.

I'm not saying it's intelligent to not wear them in a general sense haha, just that it's irrelevant to this situation as to whether or not they had them on.

It's like seat belts -- I'd venture a guess that the rate of officers wearing a seat belt in a moving cruiser is probably lower than that of the average citizenry.

Even if they're mandatory, some dudes will still roll without a vest. Just like dudes in combat arms taking their side plates out.

If he was on the AMU, otherwise not so much. [wink]
