A house 4 down from us was broken into last night.. They held the guy at gunpoint, and robbed him. I heard he has quite a few stitches, but otherwise ok.. When I heard, I wanted to puke...
How do you feel you would have fared in a similar situation?
You've had a real run of bad luck lately.
What location did this happen. From the police logs in the local (plymouth, kingston, carver area)papers. Drug arrest and B&E are on the rise.
Not much word on residents home when B&E take place.
Any word on what the got?
Time to move.
I know.. I told my husband I want to go to a secure apartment building.. Screw the backyard, and view of the beach..

I would be in jail right now answering to the charge that I shot a guy dead in my living room..
Why would you think that? You wouldn't have done anything illegal or wrong. You'd get asked a lot of questions, but there's no reason to think you'd be jailed.
there are very few random home invasions.
Usually it is drug or money related.
Asians who own businesses have been victims numerous times, usually at the hands of an employee or an aquaintence of an employee who tips the BG's off.
Then there are the drug dealers..
Then there are just cops busting down the wrong door and having a little fun as long as they are there.
Between the car break and this, don't you think it's time to move?
Yes, this neighborhood isn't as safe as I once thought...

Not waiting for the police to come rescue her is enough reason to arrest her. Harming the home invader is all that is needed for persecution in this state. (persecution is NOT mispelled)
Nonsense.
Let's just try to be factual and keep unwarranted paranoia to a minimum. There's already way too much justifiable paranoia to worry about!

Yep that's what we do at work, "bust down the wrong door" and then "have a little fun as long as we are there" give me a break, tossing in your dislike of the cops with drug dealing gang banging home invaders.
Apartment buildings are not inherently secure.
