Target Sports Delivering Again - Megathread

At the price you're paying for that ammo, it should be delivered by dancing girls. If you like that sort of thing...
XM193 per case over last 2 years

2/19 - $275
4/20 - $321
8/20 - $459
1/21 - $643

Of course I bought much less than a 1 case purchase as 2020 came to a close and back in ‘18/‘19 it was ......alot more 😆.

Brass 223 prices has skyrocketed to 90+ cpr since DC dumpsterfire, higher than even 556 at 85 cpr. Shooter's prices doesn't seem too crazy now [puke]

I don't remember ever seeing it under 30 cpr. Was this at TS?

It seems pointless to look back in time but these prices were never better imho especially with the rebates and no Ma tax.

ETA: I wanna say that whole order costs about $840 after the rebates and even then I was like, “Man this costs a whole lotta money” 😆

You know what's even more crazy right now than 9mm and 5.56 prices, f***ing .38 Special and .357 Mag, it's absolutely like it no longer exists lol places selling .38 special 125gr american gunner xtp's and off brand hollow points for over $100/box. It's like every new gun owner and fudd went out and bought a .38 lol Glad I reload and have a good pile of .357 bullets and I can cast if it really get's desperate. Still gotta let my j frames and GP100 send it once in a while.

Yep, same.
Looks like the CMP is the only source for 38 and 357 mag ammo at the moment. Granted it will take some time for it to arrive...

I think .38 and .357 are pricey not because of new gun sales in those calibers, but because all manufacturing resources - machinery, labor, materials - are dedicated to 9mm and 5.56 right now. The less popular a round is, the longer it stays on shelves at the beginning of a crunch, and the longer it takes to come back.

make sure whatever gun you shoot that shit in is rated for a steady diet of +p, it's runs close to .38 super velocity out of my full size guns. Military must have had a hard on for more velocity.
I thought that was for the M1153 (NATO) not the M1152 training. Good to know. I'll check it out.
Thanks,

Update: I did find this...

In our tests in 1985, XM882 propelled a 124-gr. round-nose FMJ out of the 5" barrel of an M9 at an average of 1273 f.p.s., delivering 446 ft.-lbs. of energy at 15 ft. Using an Oehler Model 43 and firing the new ammunition out of a 4.7"-barreled P320-M17, M1152 with the 115-gr. bullet was at 1326 f.p.s. and 449 ft.-lbs. of energy, while the M1153 clocked 962 f.p.s. with 302 ft.-lbs., both at 15 ft.
