But WE NEED MOAR GUN LAWS!111

Because ThuggyMcThugFaceThugglePants&theThuggyBunch can't seem to get locked up for more than 3-5 at most.
This..
And this charge (as always) jumped right out at me, in the list of charges against this F*CKING FILTHBAG SCUM:
"and Armed Career Criminal Level 1".
Meanwhile, if I was unfortunate enough to be at the mall when this happened, I'd have been detained for hours "for my own safety" (blah blah)..

Yet I'm fairly certain it would be MUCH more productive if all the Fuzzy-Wuzzy, Ultra-Educated (aka "smarter than you") pinhead Liberal effin twits would stop releasing a VIOLENT CAREER CRIMINAL back unto society.

Y'know, for my own/our own "safety". and I only ask again: why is it these armed career filthbags never seem to pick the houses/malls/subways etc where the state legislators, the district attorneys, the judges etc etc live, to unleash their horrific crime and terror upon. I'm pretty sure these liberal leftwing maggots (like M.H.) would feel MUCH more angry and agreeable to a crackdown on this garbage and scum if THEIR wives and kids (or if MH's "partner") were the ones being terroized, robbed, raped, mugged, killed etc by a violent "career criminal"..

Think the probation department officers and assistant DAs might be a little more strict if THEIR kids, their wives and their families were one of the victims of these vermin during their "careers" of maggotry???

Just sayin'

You don't think it is possible that there were more gang members in the mall? Maybe a couple of them had gone to a store while the shooters were at the food court? I mean, they are gang members right? Pretty possible that a few of them went to "Lids" to buy a new hat that to wear sidways, while their buddies went to the food court. Or maybe they were at footlocker checking out some new sneakers ? So then they get stuck with everyone else when the place gets locked down?

And if they had, and it turned violent, you guys would be bashing the cops for it.

Typical NES. Gang bangers start shooting at the mall. Bash the cops. [thinking] Play Monday morning quarterback and tell everybody what the cops should have done. And lets attack one of the cops that responded, and tell him how he really sucks because he didn't get shot.

Nobody's bashing cops for gang bangers shooting at the mall. I'm bashing them for preventing people from leaving the mall when those potential other gang bangers may have still been in there too. The only possible reason I can think of for doing so is to make their jobs easier, i.e. not having to grab the guy later using the thousands of frames of footage they had him on. Well, two possible reasons actually. The second involves tactical boners.

And for the hero posting here, I mocked his comically tone deaf self aggrandizement. Go read his post. It was pretty well deserved.

And all these idiotic lockdowns-whenever-a-gun-is-involved do is reinforce the notions that (a) guns are so horrifying that only The State, in the form of every swat team in a 30 mile radius, can ensure the safety and well being of everyone involved, and (b) self help is not only not advisable, it's not permitted. To support them is to support both of these concepts. I get why the boots themselves like them - it's exciting to dress up and play suburban soldier - I just don't get why anyone else does.

Lots of negative nancies out here. Not everyone has the experience and skills that you all possess to handle any situation that comes their way. Most of them probably dropped some poo in their pants when they heard "shooter" or "shelter in place". I can only hope that someday I will be in your presence and that just maybe some of your total awesomeness might ooze off of you and fall onto me. And maybe one day I too will be able to pronounce my awesomeness from behind a keyboard.

Right, because it takes great skill to leave the mall, get in your car, drive home and clean your pants. Thank god the heroes were there to forcibly detain these incompetent hacks and save them from themselves.

The point. You've missed it.

Your giving people way too much credit. As well as yourself.

Most people are oblivious to their surroundings, pay no attention to emergency exit signs, have no clue how to get out of a store short of walking out into the mall. That said, I would hope some employees who also herded to the back room would have the sense to lead everyone out the back way via loading docks or rear emergency exits. I guess not.

Being very keenly aware that I lost a Cousin in the Coconut Grove fire (long before I was born) where >450 people couldn't get out the exits and perished in the fire, even as a 21 yo I was always looking for emergency exits anywhere I went with a focus on how I would get out in case of some emergency (I'm particularly thinking of the old Lucifer Club in Kenmore Square that was a real fire-trap). It's just not how the sheep of today think however.

Too true. Situational awareness is a rare thing these days. We live in a world where multiple people with 20/20 vision walk off cliffs, into open manholes, etc on a daily basis.

What did I say about myself? Please let me know, unless you're just shitposting.

You keep coming with the personal stuff but you haven't made a single point or argument yet.

You don't like the cops or what they did/how they did and I get that. You don't get the point that most people need help when SHTF because they simply can not think in that situation. They need somebody to come hold their hand and walk them out.

I get that, but the cops weren't allowing people to leave. This wasn't about helping people, it was about screening them and sweeping the mall with the shoppers still in it. Maybe OrguneCIB can correct me if I'm wrong about how it went down.

Generalize much?

There is no such charge. Most likely outcome is a non-event as long as the LTC holder knows his place and acts in a subservient manner. That is, of course, assuming the LTC holder is white.

They would beat the sh@T out of you, say you pulled a gun, shoot you, then go to your home and shoot your 3lbs puppy.

It is a big mall, and there is already a lot of traffic on a normal day. Thousands of people running away would have been a sh@T show.

That being said, I don't think they should hold people in there. Maybe keep them in and a few minutes later escorts them out in order so they don't have thousands of cars leaving at once.

What do the NES experts think?

Since Charlie Baker and his team turned it down, Healy had to - otherwise it w/h/b a campaign hot button when she runs against him. Of course, it impacts him much less than her, so it is a good tactical move by both

I hate Healy....But I like the truth. She actually turned down her raise.

So do I understand this correctly......It's good and commendable that Baker turned it down (he's a Republican)......But Healey only turned it down cuz Baker did.....But if he didn't she would have accepted the raise (she's a democrat).

****ing politics never ceases to amaze me [rofl]

Btw my original point was that somebody claimed she got fat raise.....Which is not true as she refused it. Which is still the truth no matter what political "spin" you want to put on it. We as informed voters need to know the truth in debating the other side......Anything else makes us look ignorant.....If stinger35 uses her raise as "fuel" in a debate against a libtard he will look the fool. I'm trying to help. [smile]

They ruined somebody's night at Cheescake factory so now you hate them? Seems reasonable.

While listening to the whole show going on at home, I heard that the Cheescake Factory was still accepting and sitting patrons and had to be told to shut down for the night.

Also, to me it sounded like more COMMAND training at SSP is needed if another incident like this occurs.

I am impressed. 103 posts before a "shoot your dog reference" in a cop thread. I may go back an edit an earlier post just to keep up appearances...
Whoa!

Thanks for calling this to my attention. I was obviously skimming too quickly and missed the dog-shooting reference.

Whew! I feel better now.

Have you ever been to the South Shore Plaza?

My whole life. I've worked there. There are a ton of exits, including out of the back of most stores. Why?

Then you would know exactly what a PITA it is to leave that mall on a normal day.

- - - Updated - - -

I cant recall but I assume it is a complete shit show under normal circumstances.

Yes. It is. It is hard to find a parking spot, it is harder to get out of there.
