Don't quit your day job. That was a feeble attempt at comedy.

He just gets crabby sometimes, I don't take it personally.
Hear, hear Weebles! Good for you!
I'm hoping the greaser will internalize your attitude after he's been in NH for a while and the socialism begins to fade away...
When one moves from MA to NH, some tend to let it all hang out.
Ok then, you two just keep those details in your own foxhole!
Marines don't use foxholes. Foxholes are for hiding and used by the Army.
Open carry is a recognized right in NH. It should be exercised by more people, more often. Desensitize them towards guns as they are many other things.
Time for a break in the Derek and Jim show!!!
I long for the "good old days".
Case in point, does anybody remember the courtroom scene in "The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance"?
The prosecutor pointed to Jimmy Stewart and said something like this;
"He then pulled his concealed pistol out of his pocket, like a common criminal!!!"
There once was a time when only the criminals concealed their firearms. Honest men wore them openly.
...
What, are we supposed to be patting this guy on the back or something?
First off, wearing a t-shirt that says "Free...(enter name of person here)" while open carrying is pretty retarded.
Secondly, he's on the phone the whole time, which is pretty disrespectful.
Third, he's just being a dick for reasons of principle. Yes, he has a right to open carry, yes he's only required to provide certain info, but it's just a common courtesy to oblige (within reason of course) and shows cooperation and would have ended the confrontation without all the fanfare.
I love how the guy who was totally uninvolved likened being stopped by the cops because you have a gun on your hip to being treated "like we're slaves"...riiiiiight. I wonder what response a black guy open carrying with a "Free Mumia" t-shirt on would have gotten...
Yeah, he may be on our side as far as the gun issue, but that doesn't mean we should support every idiot nutjob that would rather prove a point than use some common sense.
I disagree Derek. I was Army, and we used Fighting Positions.
Now, I don't know what kind of holes the Navy uses...
In the Navy we only sang songs like the Village People, stole strawberries out of the Ward Room, and flew F-14's like in Top Gun. I 'm sure people here have seen the movies.
There are no need for holes in "The Navy."

Attitudes like this would have kept blacks riding on the back of the bus and drinking from their own drinking fountains.I agree! Far too often it's these types of headstrong activists that can easily give the rest of the good, honets gun folks a bad image. Doing something intentioanlly with knowlegde it's likely to cause some sort of confrontation is just plain ignornat in my opinion. I have zero respect for this type of behavior. Just like most activists, they believe thier casue and stance is 100% correct and absolute regardless. Common courtesy and respect take a place too but this person forgot that.

But then, I'm only half Ma**h***. I grew up in Maine where the boys would hunt before school and leave their rifles in the truck while they were at school and nobody cared as long as they got to school on time and didn't stink. And the only acceptable excuse during hunting season to miss a day was because you bagged a big buck that morning and had to dress it out.
I didn't see thw hole thing yet but that guy who waved his hand in front of the cop that was standing behind the guy carrying is luckyt to not have lost some blood IMO. If that camera wasn't there what do you think the odds are that the cop would have dropped him to the ground?
