Newton Gun Shop getting pushback

I saw this article on Boston25 on the waiting room TV this afternoon. What a crock of shit. And they had that Pediatrician vouch for anti-gun shop.

Anyone have a link to watch the circus from last night? I would love to have a drink and do a mutant count.

VIDEO: Jews attacked by pro-Palestinian protesters in Toronto. Anti-Semitic chants hurled in London: 'F*** Jews, rape their daughters!'

The irony of heavily Jewish Newton fighting to shut down a gun shop while anti-semitism rears its head is mind boggling.

Didn’t a half of Old Testament pretty much document that they never learn?

From Councilor Norton complaining the proposed zoning ordinances don't go far enough and is introducing an ordinance for an outright gun store ban against the advice of Newton legal counsel who have warned they could lose in a 2nd ammendment challenge.

Apparently several prominent law firms have pledged to represent the city pro bono in any legal action. There is a vote by the full city council on the zoning proposals tomorrow night...

'Prominent' doesn't mean jack shit if they don't have experience in zoning law and both the law and precedent is against such actions. Newton's in house Counsel has to have a massive headache at the breadth and quantity of legal issues the City Council and Mayor are drunkenly driving a flaming clown car into the back of.

Agreed! Hoping the shop owner has the motivation for the challenge and GOAL, NRA and others rally their support to assist...

Tax-Rich big dump cities don't care. They have money to burn and no accountability. Look at the # of times Brookline has probably been to court over its LTC bullshit and they still double down on the stupid.

The left in this country have turned into the conservative puritans of the 70s and 80s. It's really fascinating to see this played out in real life. I can remember how cities and conservative based people would fight tooth and nail against porno mags being in convenience stores or 'adult' bookstores being in their towns. There would be prayer vigils and all kinds of the usual bull crap. So 40 years ago it was dirty bookstores with the conservatives, todays the left fights back against gun stores with the same ferocity and using every single element of the old world playbook. History repeats yet again.

"have discussed it and shared it with the lawyers from the two global law firms that have offered to defend the City pro bono against any Second Amendment challenge, Michael Gardener of Mintz Levin and Josh Levy and Doug Hallward-Driemeier of Ropes & Gray, and they join in this response"

We got a male attorney with a hyphenated last name working on the case - wonder what political views he holds?

Always a bad sign. Hyphenated people are 90% leftist sheep in my experience.

At least we have porn on the Internet. When will they try and ban that??

Come on, man! You know I'm the eternal optimist!

Did you know there's a tree that grows in the Pacific NW (Giant Sequoia) that REQUIRES forest fires for their seeds to germinate?

If there is a positive side to a forest fire, there's a sunny side to ANYTHING!
FPC/SAF/Comm2A obtaining a consent decree and injunction? 🔥*warm fuzzies*🌈💕🤗💕🌈*warm fuzzies*🔥

xlek.com sez:
"
Hallward-Driemeier, Douglas contributed 1000.00 to Obama Victory Fund in 2008
Hallward-Driemeier, Douglas contributed 1000.00 to Barack Obama (D) in 2008
Hallward-Driemeier, Douglas contributed 500.00 to John Kerry (D) in 2004
"
And that was only searching with the hyphenated surname.
The substantial absence of more mundane records
implies that he doesn't always hold his pinky out
when he's sipping his latte.
(Besides, maybe it's just his married surname).

I love talking to these anti-gun, anti-Police clowns. I ask them where they live and then tell them I'm coming over to bang their wives, eat their food and drink their booze and there's nothing they can do about it. The reaction is priceless!

Both firms have massive depth . . . meaning that they have experts in every field of law that they can tap to assist their lead counsel. Not a good sign for our side in a Communist state court.
