So, as I do not care to waste my time listening to that - was there at least one voice for the guy, or was it a unified front like on a 1937 Stalin processes agains enemies of the people?
35 is good. So not as grim as expected, at least.Seems like roughly 65/35 anti/pro.
Better than I expected.
"Zoning is like pornography. It is a scourge on this country" He obviously meant guns are like pron. I agree with the Freudian slip.
A couple of loons. "Law abiding gun owners deserve to be stigmatized!" "No one deserves to sell death"
The guy saying gun owners should take martial arts courses instead for self defense was a spicy take.
well apparently firearms stores aren't as regulated as liquor stores and all so we need to banish them to the furthest parts of the city next to all the pronApparently a 16 year old kid with mental health issues can just walk in and get a gun

well it is the A T FWould be really convenient if I could grab some scotch while waiting for my next NICS check to get processed. Should always have a liquor store zoned next to a gun shop
This shop is next to a pot shop which is next to a massive liquor store and on the other side is lunch café and ice cream parlor.Would be really convenient if I could grab some scotch while waiting for my next NICS check to get processed. Should always have a liquor store zoned next to a gun shop
you and your logicThis shop is next to a pot shop which is next to a massive liquor store and on the other side is lunch café and ice cream parlor.
There are four liquor stores within a 1/4 to 1/2 mile of the site that I can think of off the top of my head.
I figured stick to the applicable points. I had half a mind to just go on and troll hardcore, holding a few ARs, throwing on my NRA hat, and just be ridiculous. The idea that normalizing guns would be more triggering to kids is insane. Kids realizing guns aren't the boogieman and they don't have to fear for their lives because someone has guns is what will chill tensions.
What a bunch of a nitwits though. Also, doctors are almost more insufferable than lawyers... and I should know lol
F*ck yeah. This shop is next to a pot shop which is next to a massive liquor store and on the other side is lunch café and ice cream parlor.
There are SIXfourliquor stores within a 1/4 to 1/2 mile of the site that I can think of off the top of my head. Marty's, Gordon's, Beer Cellars, and Oakley Spa.
Not to mention Brewer's Coalition which has a large bar.
Edit: I forgot about the hidden wine shop on Newtonville Ave and the liquor store in Newton Corner.
They can slow walk the building permit he allegedly didn't get before starting construction, then do the same for the occupancy permit. So ...
The shop has an FFL.
The shop has a lease in a commercial zone.
WTF can the board do to the shop? Can they really not allow them to open?
I didnt know they were building. Damn. I hope they prevail. They can slow walk the building permit he allegedly didn't get before starting construction, then do the same for the occupancy permit.
Mostly, they're trying to make it prohibitive through zoning. They're hoping to cost him so much that he gives up.
This is beyond my actual knowledge. There's a stop work order in place. My guess is they were doing standard build out: at most, tossing up a dividing wall between front and back of house or similar, and someone decided to make a stink...I didnt know they were building. Damn. I hope they prevail.
They hope that he abandons it, and then change the zoning laws to only allow them in a 2 x 2 foot location next to a waste processing plant and the porn stores ....as if the owner powers through there is nothing they can do to stop him from opening without being sued big timeThey can slow walk the building permit he allegedly didn't get before starting construction, then do the same for the occupancy permit.
