Newton Gun Shop getting pushback

So, as I do not care to waste my time listening to that - was there at least one voice for the guy, or was it a unified front like on a 1937 Stalin processes agains enemies of the people?

well apparently firearms stores aren't as regulated as liquor stores and all so we need to banish them to the furthest parts of the city next to all the pron
 
Would be really convenient if I could grab some scotch while waiting for my next NICS check to get processed. Should always have a liquor store zoned next to a gun shop

This shop is next to a pot shop which is next to a massive liquor store and on the other side is lunch café and ice cream parlor.

There are SIX four liquor stores within a 1/4 to 1/2 mile of the site that I can think of off the top of my head. Marty's, Gordon's, Beer Cellars, and Oakley Spa.

Not to mention Brewer's Coalition which has a large bar.

Edit: I forgot about the hidden wine shop on Newtonville Ave and the liquor store in Newton Corner.

I figured stick to the applicable points. I had half a mind to just go on and troll hardcore, holding a few ARs, throwing on my NRA hat, and just be ridiculous. The idea that normalizing guns would be more triggering to kids is insane. Kids realizing guns aren't the boogieman and they don't have to fear for their lives because someone has guns is what will chill tensions.

What a bunch of a nitwits though. Also, doctors are almost more insufferable than lawyers... and I should know lol

I was betting on who would be worse only to find they were both equally bad in how ignorant and whiney both groups are.
 
There is no helping most of those people. No rational comments would ever get them to budge as they are panic stricken.
 
Would like to ask the doctor who invited people to his ER how many malpractice lawsuits his hospital gets in a year.

The shop has a lease in a commercial zone.

WTF can the board do to the shop? Can they really not allow them to open?

They can slow walk the building permit he allegedly didn't get before starting construction, then do the same for the occupancy permit.
Mostly, they're trying to make it prohibitive through zoning. They're hoping to cost him so much that he gives up.

This is beyond my actual knowledge. There's a stop work order in place. My guess is they were doing standard build out: at most, tossing up a dividing wall between front and back of house or similar, and someone decided to make a stink...

They hope that he abandons it, and then change the zoning laws to only allow them in a 2 x 2 foot location next to a waste processing plant and the porn stores ....as if the owner powers through there is nothing they can do to stop him from opening without being sued big time
