New Acquisitions for December 2011

EAA Tanfoglio Witness Elite Limited in 9mm. Sick, sick gun!

I see what you are referring to. Its got to be the way the light is hitting the steel because it is not angled down. The barrel is straight. Waiting for my ammo to arrive then I'll post a range report. Cant wait.

Where the heck do you find ammo for that cannon? :)

No secret that I'm more of a rifle fan than handgun but December has to be in the running for the top month this year for some very cool handguns purchased!

Makes me wish we had a poll/voting system where we could gather info from 2011 regarding rifles, shotguns, and handguns that have been posted and have a contest for a winner in each category.

teaser picture. i'll upload more once the rest of the stock work is complete, and after I have Lou over @ Business End Customs give her a new paint job ;)

well, i suppose I can go a bit farther with the "teaser" pic now.

put the first 20 rounds through her today (wanted to get a benchmark before I bed the stock next week. it DOES have an aluminum v-block, but the contact points are minimal at best, and I do think I'll gain some repeatability with the bedding).

sighted in @ 100, dialed up 2MOA and shot a 5shot group @ 200yds (On a regular SR repair center, all I had available at the moment). shot with a "borrowed" box of Federal gold medal match 168's.

4 shots measure 0.48" center to center, my "flier" widens the group to 1.12".

I'm quite happy so far. just shy of 1/4MOA, flier makes it just a hair over 1/2MOA :)

**edit, uploaded a pic of the 100yd target as well. 5shots, measures 0.470" wide by 0.370" tall.

I'll start hand loading for it in a few weeks (gotta order some components), and I'll see what it can do @ 300/600yds (assuming the weather cooperates)

Remington 700 Police
Atlas BT10 bipod (on BT15 rail, t-nuts expoxied and bedded into the aluminum bedding block)
Badger Ordinance 20MOA base
Badger 30mm rings
Leupold MK4 LR/T 8.5-25
