R-E-V-O-L-V-E-RGlock 42... easy to rack slide normal semi trigger easy to shoot
exactlyDoesn't mean he was right lol
I think the grip safety is there to make the gun drop safe, so better to choose something else if it's not working as is.Maybe if you electrical/duct taped the grip safety...unless yours has better fingers.

For the nightstand (not carry), I'd call your attention to the GP100. With a professional trigger job can have a very light trigger pull with reliable ignition.we are also looking for a revolver for her for the nightstand etc (BUT with easy/gentle trigger).
My aunt has one. I havent spoken with her about it but I know she bought it because she didnt have the hand strength anymoreHave you considered the shield EZ?
With a trigger job it could be easier for her to use.
Didn't he say she had arthritis?
Or asked for picsThis is NES.
I'm only surprised nobody has recommended a fotay yet.
He didn't come here and ask how his wife can increase her hand strength. He asked about revolvers.Hand strength in patients with RA correlates strongly with function but not with activity of disease - Advances in Rheumatology

The karate guys have known forever that the way to keep arthritis at bay is to keep strength up.
Mrs. 1903 has one of these, she loves it. She has small hands with carpal tunnel and she can rack that baby with no issues.Have you considered the shield EZ?
With a trigger job it could be easier for her to use.

1000x no. I wouldn't give that thing to someone I hated.S333 Thunderstruck in .22 mag
You can easily change to lighter springs for the sp101Ruger SP101 2.25 inch in .38 would shoot well. Trigger pull feels quite a bit lighter than a S&W 642, at least my samples to compare with, and it's noticeably heavier so easier to manage as a nightstand gun. Decent amount of grip options - I like the Pachmayr compacs on mine. Great little home snubby for the home office underneath desk magnet too.View attachment 517410
I suppose if he had asked what his wife could do for hand strength that may be a great answer. And that's my answer. In order to operate a revolver in the face of arthritis, increase hand strength as much as you can.
Yes I would have liked that too but decided against it as every gun safety instructor recommended not to modify a stock trigger pull or anything action-wise on a home defense gun or the DA could [however rare] try to use that to bury you. Grips lights or better sights seem 'okay'. Does that sound right? My range Beretta has about as light a single action as you can get though. You can easily change to lighter springs for the sp101
