I'm not suggesting Illinois should be left for the wolves.
In my view anything that *infringes* on the right to keep and bear arms (absent due process) violates the US Constitution.
But to chastise people or business for taking themselves elsewhere for *whatever* reason they choose to is imposing your will on them (with or without effect) JUST as Feinstein is hoping to do to us.
Voting with feet IS a way of fighting, both by depriving the first community of your resources (read as taxes) and by strengthening the forces of the second (read as moral support, taxes / whatever).
States DO notice that x% left and states like NH are well aware of WHY people are moving there. It strengthens their cause and weakens Massachusetts (or Illinois in this case).
You can shoot my '91 if you want at the next shoot. (not AT it, with it!)
I see what your getting at, but at some point, people need to be shaken from their fog. I mean what I say with all due respect when I say "wake the
**** up" It's my way of saying take the godamned red pill. I get that some wont want to fight, on whatever level it is, thats fine, all I ask for is their support.
I keep hearing "fight for this, stand up for that". Fact is, the union commies and the anti gun kumbaya clowns seem to do a better job at fighting and standing up. Where are the pro gun demonstrations? Where's the public outrage?
IMO the only way to be heard would be to PEACEFULLY demonstrate in Boston. Maybe a sign ot two that read "we didn't bring our guns... THIS TIME" would get some libs to think. Yet, all we do is to bitch here, where no libtard will ever see it.
I have something in the works that I'm looking to set up, keep your eyes posted
If you look at the situation in IL pro-gun protesters have gathered. The problem is when we do no one notices because the left controls most of the information in this country.
It's time we get a bit louder then. At some point, they must be forced to hear us.
Trying to do something like this is futile when people will only do what they are told by Comm2A, GOAL, SAF, GOA, etc. These groups are great and are a huge help for the cause, but most people would rather bitch about things here and pull the "I gave at the office" routine and just throw money at the problem.......
If you don't have a plan in place NOW to have your wife and kids (if you have them) relocate while you and your brethren resist the police state, then you don't take this nearly as seriously as you should.
It's time we get those groups to help support some sort of protest. While they are inside fighting the legislation, we need to be out front screaming at the tops of our lungs. Throwing money at it will not fix it anymore
And where exactly would that be. This isn't a north vs south thing. There aren't lines. Yes, there's red and blue states, but it's still pretty blurred.
The lines are developing. There will be a clear side. Mark my words.
My problem is that NOBODY sees us. Nobody hears us. And, nobody FEARS us. And that's the point. "They" maybe need a reminder that they are messing with the guys who have guns.
Disclaimer: I DO NOT ADVOCATE VIOLENCE OF ANY KIND.
But let's face it, a demonstration with 2000+ people in front of Menino's office, or many more marching down Pennsylvania ave would leave a longer lasting impression then a new thread on NES. The left does it all the time when there's something going on that they don't agree with. THe TEA party could do it. The unions can do it. How come we can't? If GOAL or someone similar would organize it, the news would go around on boards like this, and i'm sure we can get folks together to participate. I know I'd be in.
Again, I'm conjuring an idea....
Half measures wouldn't work. Show up armed or just with signs saying "we have guns", but with the intent to just peacefully protest and it plays into their hands. The media will paint us as a bunch of violent wackos making threats and the last remaining fence sitting sheep will be all for sweeping gun control.....
You think they need a protest to think that? guess what? They already do think that, the death threats posted all over the internet towards NRA members is proof of that. I'm done giving a
**** what the other side thinks or perceives of us. Don't you get it, time for discussion is over. It's time to get angry and loud, not violent, that's not what I'm getting at, but we need to force them to hear we're not going to back down without a fight.
