I just called a place and they said they can't sell anything later than gen 2. Is that what you're referring to? I thought gen 5 was on the approved list. Are people ordering them out-of-state and picking them up?
Don't get confused by "the list". Just know that when it comes to Glocks what's on the list and what is allowed to be sold in MA are different. It's been a thorn in gun owners sides for a LONG time now. Suffice it to say you can buy Gen 1 and 2 Glocks from a gun store. They are technically legal to sell. Gen 2.5 and above are not legal for them to sell. Any handgun you buy out of state will need to come to an in state FFL to be transferred to you. Whether they will or won't transfer a newer generation glock is between you and that FFL. Don't be surprised if most say they won't. There are some of the newer glocks around for sale. You can always find one or two for sale in the classifieds, but you will pay a premium for them. For a first gun, you can buy from someone directly through an EFA-10 process face to face.
