gun sniffing dog? is that a thing?

Per a FB post in the past month, my former PD's dog just finished training to detect guns and gunpowder. I'm friends with his handler and if we ever connect again I'll see if the dog detects it on me or not. Since I hate going into MA except for hit-and-run doctor appointments, it's really unlikely that I'll make that connection however.

These are known as Probable Cause Terriers. As long as they indicate on a car in any way, they pass the course.

Yup - our HS in Bedford, NH brings in dogs that "sniff' gun and drugs a few times a year. They announce it in advance and it's in the local news. I guess they want to catch the really dumb kids with guns and drugs. The smart ones contribute to the GPA and college admissions statistics [smile][smile][smile]

It's all fun and games until some wag walks down the hallway swabbing locker banks
with a bong water soaked sponge, like Ruby Rhod signing autographs.

Not just drugs and guns, they now have dogs that can sniff out kiddie porn!
