Anyone got any close up photos that they are happy taking?

This is the best of all I've ever taken:

This is not as good:

I have an old floppy disc camera that takes good closeups and thats about it. I used it for posting images on the milsurp forums to show markings, get info, and sometimes for a pretty nics shot. Here are several I've taken over the years.

I'll take the G98 and the K98k, altough the latter is a frog gun[smile]

Ahhh, some are some aren't. Its a debate thats raged on since the end of the war. I was recently told by a few diferent Mauser collectors that run web sites here in the states that because of 2 markings I found on the rifle, its definitely German.

I'm still using my beloved Sony Mavica camera with floppys. The best close-ups that I've ever seen with a low priced camera. You'll have to pry this one loose from my clutches!

My contribution. First time playing with my camera since the spring floods.
A quick handheld with my D70, Lester Dine 105 Macro, and a 1973 Model 19
with a bit of crud on the frame. 1/60 second, no flash, 1:1. Resized for
display from 300x300 to 150x150 and shrunk in size from 10x6" to 4x2".

It's amazing what some of the digital cameras are capable of... even the inexpensive ones (under $200.00).

I just might have to retire my 35mm Nikon and buy one with some of my firearms/ammo cash reserve.
