Boston Globe: SJC state law requiring trigger locks on firearms

So, has his license been reinstated and his guns returned yet? Someone ought to press the paper to inquire on this restoration of civil rights, the sooner the better.

"Not guilty" is not the same thing as "innocent."
And why would an innocent person even WANT an nasty old gun?

See....makes sense....making the justice system look like silly money wasters is defintely grounds for "unsuitabilty"!

If you're talking about Runyan, his FID was expired, so he'd have to renew it before anything else. FID's are shall issue, but some chiefs still treat them like they have "suitability" with their issuance.

It's called a Police Union attorney with lots of money.

It's probably not the attorney, but a system that recognizes police officers as protectors of public safety, and private citizens with firearms as something to be reluctantly tolerated. In a perfect world, the case would be heard by a jury would would not be allowed to know the defendant's occupation as such information can only be prejudicial to a determination of the facts.
