Bend Over Fitchburg Gun Owners -- Here it Comes!

My Post on S&E

Well, since I have gotten my LTC and I live in the Burg, my guns have killed, lets see, what's that total, where did I put that, oh here it is, ZERO. Oh and their is the matter of looking at all the licenses "again", seems you have enough time on your hands to check me over again, but can't get all the criminals off the streets, hmm, that makes sense to me. Everything I have had to go thru, just to get my LTC, and the extra training I have taken, on my own accord, just to have you, a person who is supposed to uphold the law of the land, wants to change the rule unilateraly. Because a kid, who had an LTC, made a poor judgment call. Tell me, how many rounds were self defense and how many were murder shots? Sorry people lost their lives, but I did not kill them, why do I need to suffer? Who's shooting from the hip now. I refuse to be a victim, and dammed be the person who tries to make me one by pen or sword.
I have a right to defend what is mine, both life and property, it says so in the bible, and says so by people who were smarter than you 200+ years ago. Ever read the Constitution, if not look thru that before you review my application.
Obama shreds it, Pelosi shreds it, all liberals use it for toilet paper, our mayor doesn't know how to read it, and now the chief wants to use it as a door mat.
I know some very good lawyers who specialize in taking down anti gun people like DeMoura. Mayor Wong, you will be going down a very slippery slope if you allow your employee to do this. Your days in office will be over, and you will be sorry that you tried to curb the rights of law abiding citizens. Don't Tread On Me.

I'm with ya on that!!!! NRA and GOAL for that matter, never spend a dime here to sue any of these bastards........I would pony up as much discretionary funds as I could to end this tyranny once and for all!!!

Please know of what you're talking about when it comes to how GOAL spends their money.

They spend A LOT of money fighting for our rights...and they have done a lot of good here preventing our rights eroding even more.

And, as for a class action lawsuit. It's my understanding that we need to be VERY careful when it's time to do this.

If some yahoo goes and sues a town or what have you...and loses...it's my understanding that that would set precedence. And once that's done, it would be very hard to win other towns. Then we can kiss our chances of something like Heller every happening here in MA.

While I more than appreciate the frustration luv, sue them where? In courts that will stand by the police chiefs decision for issuing a license or not issuing? Sue them in courts that slap the bad guys on the hand and treat victims like they aren't worth the salt content in their body?

Trust me, we do understand, but GOAL does way more in this state than the NRA does. BTW - I noticed your from Haverhill (hi neighbor [grin]) - are you a member of the NRA and did you get a post card from them recently re: our illustrious Mayor? They may not do much in this state, but that surprised me.

Shortly before the violence that led to a double slaying broke out early Sunday, police had visited the scene on Mechanic Street in response to a report of a fight, said Chief Robert DeMoura.

Nobody was in the parking lot outside the multifamily home at 96 Mechanic St., when officers arrived, DeMoura said. They spoke to the people inside the first-floor apartment where there was a small gathering about 3 a.m., he said.

"They said there were a few people there," DeMoura said. "They looked inside .... there wasn't anybody causing a disturbance and they left."

Hmmmm.... Maybe they need to have a refresher in Police work. OBVIOUSLY, the problem was NOT resolved!

Argh.... And this was not his fault? Maybe he needs to look at himself and figure out why they did not stay in the area or at least verify exactly what was going on. Or maybe, it was 3:00 in the morning, and nothing happens at 3:00 in the morning.

Orville Carrion, 22, and Jose Carrion, 27, both of 96 Mechanic St., Unit 3, were treated and released at HealthAlliance Hospital/Leominster, then charged with murder.

And one a-hole can ruin the Second Amendment for every other law abiding citizen?

Chief DeMoura said police had been called at 3 a.m. Sunday to the first-floor apartment at 96 Mechanic St. for a disturbance and a fight outside, but when officers arrived all was quiet.

The police chief, in response to reporters' questions, said he did not believe there was a culture of violence in the city because of the number of homicides.

Yea...right. And how did that visit at 3:00 AM help out the situation?

OK... Now that I have seen some of the pictures of everyone involved... And now I am sure I am going to catch it... But... They all looked like they were involved with a Gang. Call me crazy, but I just do not see how a simple dispute over a parking spot caused all of that mess, and then armed guards all over the court room.

Naw, I don't buy it.

I agree. It was something that's been brewing for a long, long time, maybe months or even years. For some reason the parking incident was the spark that lit the gas fumes.

Or if we do, we are going to be very stringent and follow the guidelines and very clearly, I'm not looking at having everyone who gets a license to carry and possess it on them

are you kidding??? This says right here he doesn't want residents to be able to protect themselves!!!!!!!!

The last thing that law abiding citizens need in this town is to be stripped of their rights and their protection. When your mother/sister/wife goes out for milk at seven o'clock on a winter evening, and is accosted by a band of thugs, and left to lie dead in a gutter somewhere... How will you sleep at night knowing that you stripped her of her rights to self defense? How will you look in the mirror and be able to button your shirt and go off to work KNOWING that it was YOU who denied her the right to equalize her means of protection against these animals?

Me. Fight 'em.

This is the straw....

I'm out of this God forsaken state. New Hampshire here I come. I'm going to pack away every penny I can and I'm getting the hell out of here as soon as I can. It's getting real clear that fighting this in this state is pissing into the wind.

They clearly don't give a s#1t about rights, constitutional or otherwise.

does anyone have the link to the shooting that this was sparked from? i keep reading in the comments of the article that the shooter was 18....if this is the case, they should be investigating how he got his LTC, not investigating the legal LTC owners...

DeMoura and Mayor Wong are both Patrick insiders, albeit small fries. This makes them privy to the plans of the regime currently running the country. This incident and DeMoura's response to it has given us a valuable incite into their master plan , because Mass is the prototype for the way the entire country will look if this succeeds. Being a small fry insider, Wong is privy to these plans, but isn't politically saavy enough to be skilled at camouflaging them. We've seen the result -- DeMoura has panicked at this event and shown us some important things.

First, his reaction to this crime has shown that the Socialists are truly scared out of their minds of an armed populace, and its reactions to the various incendiary issues over the last few months. This crime in Fitchburg has in fact caused the Socialists, thru small fry insider DeMoura, to accidentally show their hand and what they want to do on the national scene eventually. They will use the actions of an isolated criminal element, to justify restrictions on firearm ownership. DeMoura's reaction has little to do with an attempt to control crime in Fitchburg. Like other Socialist insiders to the Government at all levels, he has been watching the Town Hall meetings, demonstrations, reading online blogs, etc., and he is TERRIFIED, like all those like him, at what he sees. He just "jumped the gun" in his panic and got way ahead of his boss' plans. They're talking amongst themselves on how to disarm America, and DeMoura, being a small fry insider, has dropped the ball on the entire plan.

And, Fitchburg could be a really good little microcosm to continue to watch for clues of what the Socialists plan for the entire country. This was in the Emptyprise this morning:

Fitchburg neighbors worried about crime

"That's the essential piece to sustainability," Travers said after the meeting. "Through a collaborative approach you really can bring change."

Hope Pritchard, a Day Street resident, said she has a concern with the number of young people who loiter around the city.

"They're just roaming around," she said.

She suggested that maybe there should be community centers the students can get involved in.

FITCHBURG -- Marcia Bellerman, 69, a Ward 4 resident, said sometimes when she drives down Elm Street at night she closes her windows and locks her doors.

"The young people just standing around, looking at you, they can be very intimidating," Bellerman said.

Bellerman was one of a couple dozen residents who attended a meeting Thursday night to talk about crime in the Elm Street neighborhood. Assistant district attorneys, Fitchburg Police Chief Robert DeMoura, members of his department, and other community leaders met at the Elm Street Congregational Church.

"This is your neighborhood, it's time you take it back," said Kassia Smith, an assistant district attorney who prosecutes in Fitchburg.

The meeting had been scheduled before last weekend's double murder on Mechanic Street that left two Fitchburg teens dead.

DeMoura did address the murders, taking some responsibility for them and saying he and his department will work to prevent crime in the future.

"A lot of people failed that night, including us," DeMoura said.

Thursday's meeting, however, focused on crime in the Elm Street area.

Officials from Worcester District Attorney Joseph Early's office applied for a grant to target crime through community organization efforts, said Jeffrey Travers, another assistant district attorney from Early's office.

Travers said while many law-enforcement officials around the country use undercover drug busts to target crime, this federal program emphasizes getting the community to come together to fight crime.

"That's the essential piece to sustainability," Travers said after the meeting. "Through a collaborative approach you really can bring change."

The assistant district attorneys and members of the Police Department have already held meetings to focus on downtown crime.

Thursday night's meeting was the first in the Elm Street neighborhood, an area of the city that's been hit hard by foreclosures, drug dealers and squatters, said Ward 4 Councilor Kevin Starr.

"The whole idea is to take baby steps at first," Starr said.

Hope Pritchard, a Day Street resident, said she has a concern with the number of young people who loiter around the city.

"They're just roaming around," she said.

She suggested that maybe there should be community centers the students can get involved in.

Another resident mentioned that she would like to see the street lights turned back on in the city.

Ward 5 Councilor Joseph Solomito urged residents to call Mayor Lisa Wong's office if they are unhappy with street lights being turned off.

Patrick Fortunato Sr., an Elm Street resident, seemed confident that if the community comes together, it can help route out some of the issues. He said in the 1980s he noticed some of the same issues were plaguing the city. He said the community came together to fight the issues then, and he said the same thing needs to happen now.

"If you see crime, report it," he said. "Now they're back, so we've got to do it again."

Police Sgt. Mark Jackson, who has been working with the assistant district attorneys on the initiative, addressed some concerns about members of the neighborhood being intimidated.

"There are more good people than bad people," Jackson told the group. He too urged residents to call police if they see anything that intimidates them. Jackson even handed out business cards that have the phone number for the city's anonymous tip line for police.

Richard DiCato, a Main Street tattoo store owner, told the group that he has started a "Save Fitchburg" group that meets weekly to discuss community quality-of-life issues. He urged residents in the Elm Street area to do that themselves.

"Just in a matter of months we've seen a huge difference," he said.

Way to go Kassia, tell a 69 year old woman who can't protect herself to take back her neighborhood. What f-ing world do this liberals live in? Is she supposed to bake them a f-ing pie and beg them to leave?

My second post on S & E about this.

This is ABSOLUTELY INSANE. Why is this **** punishing the LAW ABIDING CITIZENS who have done nothing wrong?
Fitchburg is so messed up!

My Reply,

Simple answer, it is easier for the political machine to go after law abiding people, we typically won't raise holy heck, and we are easier to pick off. Law abiding folk have fear of comitting crimes or being a criminal, so we try to follow the straight and narrow as best we can, and anti gun liberals like Wong and DeMoura know this. They think by making the line the size of a tight rope that we need to walk everyday, we will eventually fall off, and then because we get a criminal label, we should be denied any of our rights. It's a ploy, it is smoke and mirrors, slight of hand if you will. The MGL's of MA are so **** up, it is about a wonder they are not breaking doors down on everyone. Making laws to tighten the noose if you will, on good law abiding people, serves one purpose, political gain. I does nothing to stop the crimes from happening, criminals care about nothing when the laws are involved, and well, that is why they are criminals. Why one person, out of 39,000 people gets the right to decide who can and can not defend their life, is just mind boggling. That is not democracy, it is not a republic, what it is is a dictatorship, but in the sad case, everyone inside the 495 belt voted for these laws. Once you leave the 495 beltway, life changes dramaticly. Feel good laws are for the weak and pathetic, they sound good on paper, and do nothing to curb the problem. Want some good Factual Reading, visit http://www.goal.org/ or http://www.goal.org/MGLR/ReasonforReform.htm

Look at what 1998 did for us, NOTHING, but make us all victims.

Take away their guns, then tell them to take back their neighborhoods on their own, while the police do nothing.

My third post on S & E about this.

this shooting was the chiefs fault relax guys...carrion would have got a gun one way or the other and YOU ALL KNOW THAT,,,the fact that he got a gun legaly is good..now he can be tied to the crime easier..big duh to you dumbf***s..leave the chief alone..it aint easy dealing with an influx of scumbags,,,not all **** are bad..99 percent are hardworking..ever been to the welfare office,,well i tell you what 80 percent are white trailer trash there and thats a fact

My Reply:

How's about we get off the race card and be a little more level headed, it is not a white, black, brown, or tan problem, it is just a problem WE ALL have to deal with. Mis information, and saying it is one races fault over another does not fix, help or cure the problem, so lets cut the bull.

Americans died, over what seems to be nothing, I am sure we can all agree. We must tackle the problem, one fact at a time, then once all the facts are in, try to come up with a common goal of fixing the problem. Taking everyones rights away, or placing heavy handed tactics are the cheap, non fixing step, too look like your doing something, when in all fairness, you have no clue what to do. Get the facts, stop pointing fingers, and be open minded to ideas from every AMERICAN in this town. Today of all days, 9/11, we should be remembering what the costs of freedom is, and not bickering about who's country is better. We are here, their fore we are in this together, like it or not. May God, who ever that may be to you, please keep our country, our homes, our troops , and our families safe, today, tommorow, and forever!!

Now I am getting pissed!![frown][angry]

Yeah I was shocked with that as well........

I have been a NRA life member since 1980 and have given thousands to GOAL, only to see my rights trampled on more and more every decade.

Fighting this legislatively is a lost cause, I stopped supporting GOAL because they rely on the legislative battle only....

If the courts fail us, that only leaves revolution!!

Did anyone see Pat Buchanan's column today???

http://townhall.com/columnists/PatBuchanan/2009/09/11/is_america_coming_apart

I think he is spot on.

Wonder if he woke up and thought...

Gee, it's working out so well here. What can we do to make F-Berg more of a garden spot, like say, Detroit?
I know! Let's disarm the most law abiding segment of our population!
