Which "pre-ban" upper is legal in MA???

Hi All,

I decided to build an AR15 but I live in MA.

I know a few of the things I can't have, but what's the deal with uppers labeled "pre-ban"??

But I'm interested in a Stag Arms "Model 2H Pre-Ban"

Get rid of the lug and flash hider and that upper is good to go. Also make sure your lower has a fixed position stock.

Sorry, I missed the pre-ban. If you have a pre-ban lower that upper is fine.

Yup: Pre Ban Lower = GTG
Post Ban Lower = Illegal

Take off flash hider, grid off bayonet lug, add brake and the man is thrilled you won't be bayonet charging anyone...

How hard is it to find MA legal complete uppers? I don't really want to have to start cutting a brand new upper.

I'm getting one of the NES lowers as part of the group buy.

Not hard at all. Most makers of uppers will gladly make one for you in a post-ban configuration.
