I apologize if this is posted in the wrong section. I am looking for a course (not a hunter safety) that would satisfy the requirement for my 15 & 18 year old so they may apply for an FID card. We are in the western, ma area and can't find anything within a 2 hour drive. I could do that, but was hoping to find something closer. Anyone here have any suggestions? My 18 year old has a permit for pepper/mace spray, but not an FID card.

If you look in the Training section, there should be a thread with a list of instructors. There's a good chance that one of the instructors included there should be closer to you.

Have them take the LTC course. It's good for the FID and avoids having to take another course when they transition to an LTC at age 21 (at least per MGLs).

S&W Shooting Center runs courses. There are a few of their instructors here on NES, John from Remsport and Bob (IIRC and I can't remember the rest of his name).

ETA: Someone just posted his name/info in the Utah training thread. Bob McDermott, http://www.nrapistolinstructor.com/
