Well, post some military pics.

This is me in front of one of the greatest places in the country.

AH my stomping grounds!! Its amazing how much history comes from the city of Springfield.. Too bad the locals don't appreciate what surrounds them.

super oldie'

Can't be that old - your body armor is ACU!

MK19s are awesome - To me, there is somethng very soothing about the tempo of its slow rate of fire and watching the rounds travel down range before adjusting on the impacts.

You've got that, "What? No more ammo?" look on your face![grin]

.

I wish I had more pic from my military days. Here's a few that I have scanned.

Last year's all-era MC vet's gathering

This pic was taken in April 2008 at a Marine Corps vet's reunion at Parris Island. I'm on the left. Jack Lucas, the youngest MOH winner in MC history is in the middle. "Doc" Fonseca, Navy Cross winner, is on the right. Their stories are both very compelling. Unfortunately, Jack passed away a couple of months after this photo was taken. Doc had a Crucible event named after him at Parris Island and it was unveiled while our group was touring the Crucible.

were is Martlet? I got a 16g catheter for his @$$ [rofl]

since we already know he's afraid of needles

note: this was in Kosovo, during an advanced trauma class. great training! to this day, i can stick an IV or draw blood no problem. i calm myself down by joking / telling the truth - "i haven't done this in "x" amount of years [laugh]

fun stuff!

Chet, I don't know, it looks like that poor girl is bleeding like a stuck pig!

the 16 guage catheter is a garden hose. that blood meant i got a good a good stick! [smile] unlike me, wearing one bandage on each arm vs. her wearing one [wink]

back then, the trauma protocol called for two "large" bore IV's in 16g or larger - generally speaking.

she used an 18 guage on me, but i wanted to use the real deal on her [rofl]

mr. green = 18g
mr. gray = 16g **my favorite**
mr. orange = 14g, aka the garden hose [shocked] - i'll only use this if you are on the ground

That probably should not be posted.

It's OK - he's not in the field anymore. He actually has it on his Facebook page but without the face blacked out.
