All, I'm debating whether or not going to the Marlboro Gun Show next weekend (Jan. 26-27). I've never been to this show before, would like to hear from anyone that's been in prior years. Is this show worth the trip or a complete waste of time?

I'm not in the market for anything specific at this time, but like most of the NES'ers here I'd always pick something up if I got a good deal on it. I'm always on the lookout for reloading supplies. Also wouldn't mind picking up a Mosin Nagant at a good price for a project gun and some ammo for it.

If it's going to be anything like the Manchester show (I didn't go) earlier this month I wouldn't waste my time (unless you just want to go for the entertainment value)...it'll be another madhouse for sure.

I need some high cap Jerky

Limit is one jerky per month unless you get a special license which is longer available in MA if you are a US citizen...call me as I have a connection and will meet you out in the parking lot...code word "where's the beef?"

If you just want a mosin I'd just hit up some gun shops instead. With the three hours that you will waste standing in line, you could have gone to like a half dozen gun shops. To say it will be a zoo is an understatement. $12 or whatever they want to get in (w/o coupon) also buys some gas, too.

I went to Manchester last weekend. It was a two hour wait and a complete waste of time. Just like the stores, there is nothing to buy.

were there any good deals on knives at the Manchester show? My GF is a chef and goes to gun shows with me to look at cutlery items, while i peruse the firearms. I want to go, but know I will not see anything that my bank account can sustain, as I have been using excess funds for ammo recently. However if there are good deals on knives, i will go, if anything just to watch the madness.

If you are looking for something not very popular like a levergun or revolver that you have had a hard time finding at your local gun shop then it may be worth your time if you get there early so you don't spend forever in line.

Come to the show. If you don't find anything at a decent price, stop by the Hopkinton Sportsmens Association table and drop off the leftover cash for Comm2A.

Go just to show that the media hasn't scared us away from going to shows,. Just walk around, heck you may find a part or something that isn't on the "list" oh wait everything will be on the list[laugh]

My guess there may be anti gun folks outside since this will be a mass. show.Hope it rains[wink]

Im going to donate some money and buy one of these bad boys!

When all the EBR's get banned and collected for destruction by the .gov jackbooted thugs, revolvers and lever guns will suddenly become very popular.[tinfoil]

And they will make better clubs when ammo is outlawed.

Goto a gun show for amusement. You can't go expecting a super hot deal (unless 50BMG scouted out something for you before the doors open).

There were NO guns around me growing up, closest I ever got to one was seeing a cops. My family wasn't anti, quite the opposite, but my grandfather was the last one to actively hunt and shoot and he died long before I was born. I always enjoy going to the shows just to see all the different guns, but the marlboro show has only had a few good deals every time I've gone as far as guns go. A lot of people seem to go for ammo and theres a good selection of a militaria and accessories. Plus some good jerky tables.

This would be interesting. I believe that access road is private property so if there are any protesters at the conference center the hotel should have them escorted off the property and out to the street.

I think there's still a few Mosin's up at Bob's, ammo's another story.
