truck stolen in canada with 2000 guns; not enough details and does not make sense. input?

Correction, just read in another article the theft occurred at a nearby trucking company staging yard. They identified the road but didn't identify the company. But Google maps shows this small transport company "Deck Transport" on that road and are sporting trailers with the same logo: "DTL":

So the theft location (trucking yard) and Savage Arms are 8.5 miles from each other.

Which means if the guns were targeted, whomever did the stealing knew the relationship and shipping / trailer pickup schedule between Savage Arms and Deck Transport. In other words, it appears the trucks would pull up to Savage Arms loading dock, fill up with stock for distribution to retailers, and the shipping company would park the full trailers in their yard for pickup by haulers who would do the long hauls. That would take an insider and/or someone who studied the truck / trailer movements for a few days.

Could also just be some kid on a joy ride after some dufus left the keys in the truck left connected to the trailer at the yard, but that would be a really really stupid kid and they'll catch him shortly.

I got this correct it appears:

Interesting. 4 nights earlier at about the same time (2:30AM...the gun trailer was stolen around 3:00AM) in the same area as the transport company (Deck Transport) a police call came in about an unidentified B&E at a local business. Could have been the transport company or a nearby business.

Meth heads? But nothing appeared to be stolen. Curious.

Some additional details in this police video:
  1. All guns were small caliber (presumably Savage .22's)
  2. Suspects arrived in a blue 4 door sedan and left with the stolen truck and trailer
  3. Police say this appears to be a crime of opportunity because several other transport companies in the area had been broken into on previous nights. If this is really some of Uncle Joey's frenz, the previous B&E's could have just been smoke screen.
So. We'll see.

Have you been able to access the sms text messaging logs of the shipping company employees and the responding officers yet? [rofl]

I'll take "Fake News" for 800 Alex.

No reflection on you OP.

Who in their right mind would ever allow a truck carrying thousands of guns to sit somewhere unattended, unsecured and without an armed guard? I'm calling bullshit on this story.
Just another propaganda ploy to plant the seeds of fear into the public mind.
na its legit. Swiped from savage's canadian plant. These trucks aren't rolling around with armed guards like they are carrying the contents of fort knox around. Fedex picks up an 18wheeler full of guns a few times a day at the big OEM's with no pomp and circumstance.

Its literally a truck full of savage rascal 22's lol
