The Gun Parlor helping the antis..

TGP - it’s in black and white. You’re giving out 4473s to the office which hates our guts. What lawyer, if any, did you use that had you to agree to such a stipulation?!?

If it hadn’t been for KnuckleDragger making this information available we never would’ve known.

Gunshops in MA are still business first, 2A second. Let that sink in guys.

not in MA. A flowershop is a business first. A pizza place is a business first. Not a gunshop, because selling/building anything gun related in MA isn't like any other business, not even strip joint or pot dispensary.

We live with a finicky tyrant who will digiri-does both gun owners and businesses on a whim, with no warning. Our transgressions against unjust laws are not measured in fines alone. So no, running a gun shop in MA is not like running it in NH or Alabama and gun ownership in this socialist state isn't simple.

On TGP front, it's easy to provide non-binding verbal explanation without volunteering additional info. There are some mysteries still outstanding and suspicious as **** and TGP isn't spelling out the way it ****ed gun owners in this state, so it's still an open page on what exactly they did.

Someone tipped WCVB about TSUSA and one doesn't just write a tip and expect WCVB show up for an interview. There was no word from other shops being approached by WCVB in the same time frame (and we hear things beyond what's posted publicly) So TGP was approached directly. I'm just suprised with WCVB mind reading prowess, because there is a number of shops who would flat out told them to GFY.

With no public word from TGP they are shady as hell. The 4473 revelation didn't come from them. What kind of revelations will come tomorrow? May be TGP is waiting for the public to find out every position they ****ed us so they could provide a complete apology at the end. Nope. They can stay silent on this or they can start building trust, but somehow I feel that there more going on.

Never mind...googled it.

wow...just wow. Really?

- - - Updated - - -

In my memory I think I only had one or two guns transferred to me there through private sales...does that type of transfer utilize a 4473?

if the person transferring the gun to you is having the FFL execute the transfer, yes. If you are just there, and they let you set up to do a FTF somewhere (say, the parking lot, or corner of their store), then no.

Are you sure you are a gun owner??

Maura will already know who you are from the 4473s but that’s ok this will be a chance to add the rest of the family to her dossier — maybe take a few security camera selfies to put a face to a name. It will be fun and felonies for all!

I don't give a shit about his forced apology/explanation. If the AG forced him on threat of closing the shop, so be it. Still don't respect him or the shop for allowing that.

The biggest issue is that he has no control over his employees and allowed them to post that shit insulting the members of the forum that started his business.

I still want to be able to Ignore Dealers.

Well, I was not planning on commenting here, but turning over customers info on top of the WCVB piece? Its bad enough that these 2a attacks come from our 2a enemies every night on almost every news source, but from an ffl in our own yard is inexcusable and despicable. I almost bought a jm pro there last year. If i did Maura would have me on file and i would feel like i made a sizeable mistake right now. I have a precious few dollars to spend on my 2a hobby/lifestyle and i will be dammed if i will give any of it to people like tgp.

I would rather be an nes homo than a 2a backstabber.

Shooty

If the media comes knocking asking for anything you say NO. This is Massachusetts after all. TGP should know better, but they saw it as an opportunity to promote their business. No ****s given about consequences for the rest of us. Further, the statement reads like they're the victims. "However as many of you know it is hard enough as it is to be a gun owner in this state and even harder to do business in this state as an FFL we hope that in time you understand we did not intend for this to create a negative impact on the community."

We have it bad, but they have it worse? No. **** you and your high prices.

I don't give a shit about his forced apology/explanation.

I don't care about an apology either, what bothers me the most is that once you start cooperating with the state like a CI or in some other capacity, there is no end to what shenenigans will this lead to, no end to the "relationship." What's going to be next, will they setup someone on a 922r compliance violation? Pass the scoop what people are talking to Mora?

This is a trust issue now. You are not talking about buying a stapler. Pass 4473 today, do AG some other flavor later, it never stops.

Tell your employees that getting in pissing matches in the company facebook comments isn't a really good look, especially when he calls them out for not spending enough there. I live in Worcester, but I'm never going to set foot in tgp. Don't want your tiny dick employee pulling up my record and putting up my spending habits on facebook.

Out of all the stupid stuff I saw on FB, this is what irritated me the most. Called a guy out because he hasn't shopped there in a few years when the guy said he wasn't going there anymore.

The Gun Parlor: Look up my name, purchased a few firearms from you guys when you were in your small shop. I haven't personally returned to your shop in a few years but that doesn't mean I wasn't sending a ton of business your way. Ignorance at it's finest. Here is a business tip: Never shit on your customers, no matter how big or small they are. I can say that I will never spend another dollar in your place again, but I haven't in a few years so no big deal. What will hurt you more is when I say I WILL NEVER REFER YOU AS A REPUTABLE BUSINESS AGAIN. FOAD.

Are you sure you are a gun owner??

hah...pretty sure. Almost every gun I own save for 4 or 5 of my first purchases years ago, have been used and done in a FTF transfer...and I don't really sell many guns. I buy people's 'new in box' and 'low round count' guns and shoot the hell out of them :) plus, I like old crap.

The only time I've ever transferred at a shop was because the gentleman selling the firearm payed for the transfer AT TGP...his choice. The only thing I ever bought there was when they were in the motorcycle shop and they had the full Apex M&P trigger kits so I impulse bought one because I was in the market for it anyway and wanted to install it that night...yes, I overpaid.

I never really got a good vibe off the owner/employees there anyway...and now that I know they gave up information on a transfer willingly (which I assume the AG already had probably), I guess that kinda seals the deal. I'm typically not bandwagon type, but sure...**** TGP.

IF I need something THAT bad... I just so happen to believe in second chances AND hard lessons learned. I know I've made my share of mistakes.

While I'm also a big fan of second and third and twelfth chances, this is an appropriate time to bring up seppuku. TGP can preserve honor by selling all assets to another party. New ownership, clean slate, hopefully better role in the 2A community.

Seriously though, some old news article referred to this being a $1 million investment by Gabriel, so the smart money might hold out for foreclosure prices.

The apology was made because the owner has egg on his face. This is going to hurt his wallet. His intention was to screw someone else (in the gun community) over. He most certainly knew that the outcome of the piece would screw over someone who is legally shipping ammo to Mass gun owners at the same time helping his ammo sales. As far as his employee-the kid is a toolbox and I wouldn't be surprised if the owner of the shop encouraged him.

What do you bet that the AG was contacted about TSUSA and sent WCVB to TGP? Perhaps "co-operating" with the AG was part of their consent decree (I didn't read every word of it)?

Perhaps WCVB told TGP that the AG sent them or they thought that they could get in the AG's good graces again by co-operating?

Totally agree. Once you make a deal with the devil, there is no way out. For whatever reason TGP is playing it too cozy with the AG for us to feel comfortable dealing with them on any level.

There is no way to know if TGP were the ones that ratted on TS. That is pure speculation. Maybe they did, maybe they didn’t. I think it’s kind of shitty to assume they did.

As to the news article, yeah it was a bad decision, but was probably made out of ignorance instead of malice.

I don’t shop there because it’s too far away, but I wouldn’t let this debacle stop me if I had been a regular customer and other well treated by the shop.

^^ This ^^

Especially when you consider that our one party state operates like the mafia.

The ultimate goal right now should be everyone in MA doing what they can to make sure Healey doesn't win re-election. You want to put an end to the AG shenanigans, get the commie out of there.

I simply find it odd the GP was "randomly" selected to hold the story. I mean there are PLENTY of closer gun stores to the WCVB offices. What they on a whim figured lets just drive all the way out to Worcester to possibly see if this shop will bit and partake in our story... doubtful. On top of that WCVB just happened to stubble upon one of the extremely rare online dealers that will ship to mass.

I don't buy it.

That is 2 shops now Gun Parlor and Mass Firearms School ... I wonder if the rest will learn a lesson.

I'm sorry, there was way too much effort on TGP's part to make this happen.
It's way beyond them popping in and saying "Hey, mind if we ask you a couple of questions ?"
They must have even lost a bit of revenue shutting down the range for it.

The 4473 thing is a whole can of worms to itself.
How freaking unfair to their customers could you be to not tell them where they were going ?
Wouldn't you think I would want to know that those were being directed to the biggest gun and constitution hating whack job on the planet if I was doing business there ? Illegally as far as I can determine.
What's she plan on doing with them? There's nothing I wouldn't put past her and her god complex.
I plan to do my part to make sure people do know.
Sorry Justin , no sale dude, you knew what you were doing , just not the level of shitstorm that would result.

Here's another guy running against her as well: https://www.massgunrights.com/press-release-bourne-attorney-running-for-ag/

A quote from the article:
After encouraging the crowd to join his campaign, McMahon also promised, “Your rights, and your guns, are safe with me!”
