TS just had Winchester 115gr 9mm for $113/500. (22c/round) Sold out in minutes. Prices starting to fall?
That’s crappy - I set a new notification reminder for that and the 124gr yesterday and it never came through. I received a separate notification earlier this week for the Sig 300BLK that sold out before I could log on. I guess that would’ve happened with the 9mm anyway, so oh well...
I know those feelsJust opened up my credit card statement and almost fell off my chair.
"Savings"
It won’t get “back to normal” while people keep panic buying.
Just went to Shooters Outpost, clown pricing akin to the great panic of Newtown CT.
No thanks, I’ll just wait until this nonsense ends.
When do you suppose that might be?
Lots of new gun owners; check
Worldwide pandemic; check
Nationwide rioting; check
3 Months away from an election with far-reaching implications; CHECK
I hope I’m wrong, but me thinks yer gunna be waitin a while.

The fact that ammo is still available is a really good sign. Manufacturing has ramped up over the past couple years and while there are lots of new shooters - how many of them are going to stockpile more than 1-2k? I think we are already on the backside. If society doesn’t collapse - availability could be OK bu winter with normal prices lagging behind.
That could be what saves us for now at least. A lot of normies think that 3-400 rounds is a lot. I'd be willing to bet that a vast majority of new gun owners haven't fired it yet so they don't know how fast a couple hundred rounds go up in smoke. The fact that ammo is still available is a really good sign. Of course. I'm not quite as far along, but I think I've paid off my membership this year as well$95 for free shipping is more than worth it to me. I’ll take what I can get at this point.
You know, I thought of how in hindsight I should've bought big back in March when there was to some degree some covid related panic along with the election coming in November. Why would prices go down and why would availability get better as we approached November? If I see ammo go back to the prices I was buying at end of 2019, I will probably take out a small personal loan and go in stupid deep on the stacking.

I haven’t a clue when it will be, but I do know people panic buying certainly doesn’t help.
I won’t feed into it. I’ll just shoot from my own inventory as usual and will wait.
Buying ammo in a panic is akin to buying stocks when the market is euphoric and at new all time highs. I’ll just sit until the bottom falls out. It’s all cyclical.
I just switched my habits and now I am buying 7.62x39 and guns to shoot that. I refuse to pay the rape fees for 5.56, but the 7.62 still seems pretty reasonable to me. Now I can stack more!
Florida retailer: 'Everything was literally sold out'
It'd be interesting to see a chart comparing the price of a basket of ammo to the daily number of posts in this thread. I'm guessing they'd look pretty similar. Buy when it's quiet, sell in a riot.I haven’t a clue when it will be, but I do know people panic buying certainly doesn’t help.

Well, THERE Is the big gamble, isn't it?If society doesn’t collapse
whoa. even the grotesquely overpriced home defense stuff on TS is starting to move
