As much as I'm a S&W fan, I just don't see this as anything I want until /unless it is proven to be more than their next generation a plonker class 22 pistol. Fact is, if you go to any serious bullseye /gallery competition, you'll see that the Ruger MK II/III / 22-45 series are the top dogs for accuracy in the under $500 range. It has been that way for 30 years and will be hard pressed to change .
I don't buy into the Volquartzen upgrade discussion either. If you add a $300 barrel to a $400 gun, you'll find you have a $450 gun at the inevitable resale time. If you have the $700, then go right to the S&W 41.
