S&W - First time visit

So, I'm out accompanying a sales person on a call in Springfield today.
As I pull in to the lot at the customer's location, I see this cool looking place across the street and wonder to myself,"I wonder what that place is?"
After the call, I am asking the saleswoman what it is and she tells me it is Smith & Wesson. Now, I knew they were in Springfield, but I assumed I'd be nowhere near.

So, I checked out the store, had a really great conversation with a lady working the counter and a couple customers. That right there convinced me to go back and get another another firearm.

What a great bunch of folks. Even the security guys were cool.

Just had to share.

I went to the factory first. They directed me to the store.
I intend to take the factory tour in the future.

Do they have a store where you can just walk in and browse?

Springfield is about a 90 minute drive from me. Is it anything interesting (worth the drive) or is it just your typical gun store?

the store is at the shooting sports center, the store is not huge, but they do have a decent desplay
of pistols and other items.

I'll be supporting S&W again in the near future by buying an M&P 9c.

(tho I'll not be buying it at the headquarters.)

I like that you can go to the shooting sports center and pay to fire almost any model they make
