Shooting yesterday and my 1911 jammed when I put in the mag and tried to rack the round. Looked like the nose of the bullet was hitting the ramp. I cleaned it last night and I noticed that the ramp had some noticeable wear on the bottom. I also noticed, at the range, that some of the expended brass had scratches on the sides near the top as well as minor indentations near the top. I assume it was caused by the jams?
After cleaning, I put the mag in and tried to rack a round and the same thing happened - I have to pull back the slide and it eventually chambers.
Once the round is chambered, it fires fine. The ammunition was made by "International" and "Blazer". The SR45 I was aslo firing did not have any issues.
Any ideas? Thanks!
