Rifle case lube

I view mixing your own lube right up there with making your own paper and light bulbs.

You can buy a pint from Dillon or Frankford Arsenal and it will lube >20K cases.
Have to agree with this and I like the DIY route even when it doesn't save money ( I make my own bullet seating plugs, universal decappers, powder drop dies, etc just for the machining time)

Just made a batch of ISO-lanolin lube and it works great but the savings is only a couple of dollars across thousands of rounds, so not really worth it.

I load a lot of .223 for a full auto and don't make case lube. The stuff seems to last for such a long time that making it isn't worth the effort.

I totally agree..
Loading for full auto changed my perspective on reloading entirely.
i dont think its much work. I just have the same gallon arizona ice tea bottle ive always used. When ever it gets low i put some more in, cap it, shake it.. then use 1-2 caps full per 1000rds..

it does last so long you could just by two bottle and just reorder whenever you finnished the first.
