Have to agree with this and I like the DIY route even when it doesn't save money ( I make my own bullet seating plugs, universal decappers, powder drop dies, etc just for the machining time)I view mixing your own lube right up there with making your own paper and light bulbs.
You can buy a pint from Dillon or Frankford Arsenal and it will lube >20K cases.
Just made a batch of ISO-lanolin lube and it works great but the savings is only a couple of dollars across thousands of rounds, so not really worth it.
